school search consultant?

My friend relocating from the UK to HK very soon, with his little boy, coming to be 2 the next prenursery intake (2015/16). The parents are so puzzled of the whole schooling situation in HK plus their inability to get access to information mostly only available in Chinese, they turn to me for help but I am of least capable to help as well. So I am asking here if anyone has any good school search consultants to recommend. Thanks in advance

They are keen to explore the local kindergartens/ schools instead of international schools a they want as much as possible to let their son learn some Chinese, they may later relocate back to the UK or put the boy to an international school at higher grade.

So any good consultants familiar with the local schooling for international families and also familiar with what's going on in the international school side.

Anyone has used that, please do share your experience as well. Any helps would be very much appreciated. Cheers

I second Top School. Ruth Benny is quite into the local system for expat families. ITS is more for International school kids, but never hurts to contact them to find out more. If their child is only age two now, they still have a bit of time, especially for local schools. (since unlike some IS the applications does not start from birth).

Thanks for the very good suggestions!

They will be around  Mid Levels or Tai Hang/Jardine. Both parents don't read or write Chinese but may speak a little or understand some canto.
