MOCK INTERVIEW?

不少學校都有, 同學校問下
good but not good enough

Oxford: more traditional outlook, particularly politics, philosophy. Many British PMs are therefore from O. Cambridge, being the renegade from foundation, is more revolutionary and liberal.

However I do know that the interviews can be done via Internet (those apps like Skype) in Hong Kong!

Yes, video conference interview is available for both oxbridge.  But I'd think interview in person may double the chance of getting an offer.  One thing to add still - interview at oxbridge is normally conducted by tutors of the applied course of study while Cambridge interview in Hong Kong is conducted by one Cambridge professor for all applicants (jointly with another HKU professor).

I heard that Oxford produces thinkers while Cambridge produces doers. Because most thinkers cannot do, and vice versa, there is no point for thinkers to apply to enter a place for doers, and vice versa.

By the way, your heading is contrary to common usage which places Oxford before Cambridge, such as Oxbridge or Oxford versus Cambridge, never Camford or Cambridge versus Oxford.

I can't imagine why the family background of Oxbridge graduates will be worse than other U's, except for 黃仁龍?  While a singular case is quoted, other similar cases may be due to the aspirations of Oxbridge graduates are generally higher than other U's.  E.g. science graduates from other U's may be satisfied with a teaching job, but probably not for Oxbridge graudates.  Let me quote the example of my friend's son who graduated from Cambridge last year after studying 4 years' combined Master course in civil engineering and took a year off to do volunteer work in rural China or so.  He applied for Scheme A graduate training in the Government this year but declined the offer as he realised that he'd be two years older than his counterpart trainees.  He'll go back to get a PhD instead.

That's a problem commonly found in developing countries where "Who you know is more important than what you know."
Whereas Bill Gates and others made their fortunes because of their intelligence etc., it is quite rare to find similar case in HK.

Oxbridge have been around in the UK for several hundred years and almost all their top leaders are Oxbridge graduates who will, other things being equal, employ Oxbridge graduates. In HK, it is quite rare to find an Oxbridge person, let alone an Oxbridge Employer.

The most important asset about going to Oxbridge, regardless of background, is the experience. It is a unique, one~in~a~lifetime experience, and is never forgotten.  As for career path post graduation, background, social networks, personal aptitudes and LUCK all play a part.
