今日我專程行去視察，老實講路途不算遠，但日晒雨淋同多車。。。 ...

有校車。有同學住在紅磡，坐校車來上課。較多住將軍澳。

jade, 可否講多些你對mills 的comments. mills 收了我個仔, 2歲就返(個人覺得太早), 想揾間happy school. 本身上緊維記playgroup. 不知應去mills 定等維記N class result (3月才in) ..

I see this forum welcomes all kind of comments for this school, no matter good or bad, as it serves as a useful tool for parents to decide whether this school suit their own childern.

It is good that you see some weaknesses of Mills. But I hope you can elaborate because more information is helpful for other parents. Otherwise, it only caused confusion and anxiety. And most of all, it is unfair to the school having a vague negative comment.

As a parent of a Mills K3 student, I would say that the school administration is still developing and sometimes a little bit messy.  The teaching team is getting in form and they are adjusting about homework, and other learning activities. I sometime have no iedea what is going on in the lessons, as there is no "text book" and unlike local school, they will not inform you what subjects had been taught in 手冊. I can only talk to my child and through pretend-teacher role play to reveal how he works in school.

Mills is a new school with only one year of history.  It is not perfect. But I admire the passion  of its founder, school director and teachers. The most important is, my kid loves to go to school.

不好意思, 我其實不知道Mills的PN是怎樣的，綜合兒子與校長的講述，ＰＮ大多時玩paint,玩沙,玩水,唱歌跳舞...是Messy Play, 去刺激/整合他們的感官。如想「學野」的話, Mills未必適合。

That's really true, learning through play!!! Actually, as my daughter is only 2 years old. I dun think she need to learn too much. The most important thing is she loves going to school and enjoys finding new things. It would be not good for us to push them to memorize vocabs and etc.....

Exactly.
The only concerns we had were:

1.  It is new and didn't have any track record anywhere before
2.  The foreigner ratio is not as high as other international schools

We picked another school in the end but we truly like Mills (it was a tough decision to reject their K1 offer).

Mills剛收了我囡，由於我女是12月龍B，我想避開龍年競爭，所以報了明年先讀PN班，不過校長見完我囡後覚得佢ready K1, 見議佢明年讀K1，怕N佢會悶。雖然我有問K1與N的課程分別，但都不太清楚，想問有冇家長子女有讀過呢兩班嘅可以分享下？

另外，如果N係玩沙玩水為主，$6000一個月係咪有D貴？

想問下你是因為將來想報直資所以轉來Mills, 因為想打好英語底？Mills的課程應該唔會好深，我以為之後報直資會較冇優勢。另外你怕唔怕小朋友習慣了這種自由習慣氣氛後，對於一般直資比較谷的方法，會好唔適應？

你兒子讀K3, 是不是會選國際學校小學？其他小k3的去向又如何？

剛教了rainforest 的定義和不同植被層...這是我中四才聽過。
去年教海洋，要他們討論保護海洋的方法，畫思考圖。
我沒有想深淺的問題，最重要孩子覺得那種學習方法較有興趣。現階段還可按興趣作選校，到小學，我揀人，人未必揀我，唯有叫孩子努力適應。我個人也不抗拒讀津小，心儀的直資只有一間。可能你覺得我傻，但我不忍心要那麽小的孩子面對多次緊張的面試。

今年是第一年有k3.  去年k 2班有升了國際小學，也有同時在local school 讀k3，在苗士讀k2的同學升本地小學。苗士網頁有寫校名。

The Principal was extremely nice and friendly during our visits.  

They had a field trip setup for the students to go to the library nearby.  I also liked their focus on arts and music as a way to inspire young kids.

I agree that interviewing kids is a crazy idea!

我仔今年pn，其實開學到依家2個月到，個人覺得孩子係d個期間學左d咩，實質真係唔係好知，不過我見到佢由喊住返學到依家笑住返學，每晚同我傾計要我問佢係學校做左d咩，跟住就自己講d我未教過佢既詞語講比我聽……香蕉，萄葡，蘋果（普通話），dinosaur，bottle，有日仲問我are you ok，當然唔係好清晰要估佢講咩，我地係屋企係全廣東話。
我唔知其他學校pn上堂會學d咩，所以無得比較（我都想知）。之前都有其他jm有不同意見，但到依家我地都仲幾鍾意bb讀mills
