我100% agreed cpmummy said (what reason I send my daughter to international kinder? because I want her enjoy learning in school and no need to play the HK educational game, but if I send her to attend many course, that's means I am following the same path as they did)

不如我地都share下, 大家的小朋友, 有乜after school classes?

我女女so far只有2樣 (chinese & piano), phonic學校有教(no worry), 今個summer holiday就會上swimming lesson同埋ice-skating lesson(but呢2樣, 佢學識就會停)

睇到妳咁講, 一定好worry個女女啦!
個個小朋友個case都會唔同 (we have to look at the full picture)

不過, 我會比short period (about 1-2 weeks) 去observe下先(話晒都係番左few days), 過多陣, 妳女女都complained的話, 就一定要report比class teacher知

妳都應該有本handbook, 有問題可以write it down, 我女個class teacher通常會即reply架!

依家佢係咪都係番full day, 比多d時間佢去adapt啦

英基07年改收生機制

【明報專訊】英基學校協會鑑於輪候入學人數太多，計劃改革入學條件，優先取錄「只能以英文學習，不能入讀本地學校」的學生，考慮以評核、學生所持護照等方法篩選，新制將影響2007年入學者。未能入讀英基的本地生，可選擇英基今年9月開辦的「優質私校」，但私校小學學費一年要6.5萬元，較受政府資助的英基小學貴三成。

英基署理助理行政總監霍啟思說，今年6月會將收生機制上網，增加透明度，今年底完成的改革報告，將在2007年推行。

他表示，希望定出新機制將學生「分門別類」：「會先取錄未能以中文接受教育的海外學生，入讀英基幼稚園的亦會優先考慮，然後就是本地學生。」英基將會尋求教統局的意見，亦要考慮收生條件會否觸犯平等機會條例。

霍啟思又說，歡迎未能入讀英基的本地生，選擇今年9月於馬鞍山開辦的優質私校。該校中、小學一年學費為8.5萬元和6.5萬元，較受政府資助的英基中、小學學費分別高出8%和37%。

係呀! 我都worry, 大家都有件細跟住 (我仔應該係08年入學), 同埋佢應該都會響番屋企果度間kinder讀 (1來家姐讀得好開心, 2來中/english都教得唔錯, 最important係我老公唔想咁細個小朋友坐school bus

咁妳仔仔reading journal係which level 呀! 應該mark左number響本journal後邊

妳個大仔讀成點呢?  妳覺得QBS好唔好呀!?

佢地重細, 唔好太worry佢地的english level住, 我相信頭1-2年, 小朋友的分別會好大, 因為間間kinder的level都唔同, 我女一路響local kinder讀, 中文當然比好多人叻啦!

spelling book 都係 last week 至開始, every week 10 words, 響 friday 串字, 亞女話, class teacher read the words, she wrote them down on a piece of paper (我估好有可以能係1對1做, actually我都not too sure)
個list 有乜字, 今晚我睇番再話妳知, heehee, i forgot half of them

至於reading journal, 一開學就有, 我又係估 (class teacher會1對1去試下係地的english level, 然後arrange個小朋友 is which level)

everyday, 只可以choose佢地個level的story book回家read, 久不久, 個teacher又會test下佢地的進度, 睇下upgrade or not (開學時我個女係level 8, 跟住9, 突然jump左去13, until now係level 14)
