T.S.T. YMCA Aqua-Naut Level Five

想知道有無小朋友學緊這課程, 有無媽咪可以提供一下這個level的訓練方式, 小朋友如果點唔到地下, 泳池水深又高過小朋友身高,又未識呼吸, 升讀這level對個小朋友會唔會唔適合呢?

我個小朋友剛完成了level 5個課程, 佢有115cm高, 都可剛掂到地, 初時會用浮板教踢腳, 踢到o甘上下先加上手的動作, 亦是單手拿浮板的, 而每堂最後的10分鐘會不用浮板游, 但不用擔心, 因每條link都有膠浮索, 心理上會好o的. 但如果小朋友本身怕水, 佢地會唔多敢. 但要學識游水, 呢個都係必經階段.

咁下次呢 ？是level6還是轉去seal/dolphin ？
我個仔因為足6歲，下次是otter。
有位朋友仔，好像是完成level3，足6歲升seal。

囝囝下次都係升otter, 因佢剛滿6歲, 雖然佢已完成level 5, 但佢總係唔可以一口氣游多少少, 可能都係心理關口, 我覺得佢係因為足6歲所以升去otter, 如果唔係, 我諗佢都要repeat level 5. 所以我打算搵私人教練train佢1,2個月, 希望有o的break through.

my son is only 108-110cm, he just pass level 5, he also not tall enough in the big pool, but what i saw he is alright with it.  he has floating board and he can easy to reach the pool side if he felt tired.  I am not planning to let him continue level 6 since I felt it is a bit slow.

My son will be in the Wednesday 5:25pm class.
What about Eugene ?
Actually requirement for passing Level 6 = passing Seal.

Are you planning on private 1-1 swimming too ?  Or leave it for a yr till primary school ?
Or take up some other sport ?
O and it's Trevor's 5th B-day today !

Hi all moms,
I am very new to Aqua-Naut.  My son will turn 3 years old in 6 weeks' time and so will be just in time to enrol for Level One which will start at the end of next month.  I would like to know your comments about this swimming course including the attitude of the instructors.  Do you mean the kids don't have to complete the 8 levels in order to advance to Otters?  I am asking because my niece passed Level Six last December when she was only 5y3m.  She was not allowed to advance to Otters because of her age (and probably because of her height-she is very short for her age).  I don't quite understand how the system works.  Furthermore, I would like to know whether a certificate will be issued upon completion of each level?  Thanks.

Aqua-naul Level X can progress to Otter or higher levels once kid turns 6y (not dependent on height, maybe something to do with their insurance policy taken out on swimmers).  No need to complete all levels.  On the other hand, even if kid has completed all 8 levels before 6y, the kid still can't progress to Otter - Must be 6y or above on the day the course starts.

Yes, cert will be issued for each level passed, upon payment of $15 or $20 (forgot exact amount).

Result / report slip will be issued towards end of each course, around the 7th or 8th session, and will let you know whether the kid can progress to next higher level or repeat, or go over to Otter.  Need to attach this result slip to appl form for next course.

Trevor now is under 1 to 1 tutor for the swimming and get back to YMCA on summer, will try level 8 at that time.

There is a baby girl on my tummy now.
