數學科學教育星洲全勝本港
2014/6/5《晴報報導》

      世界經濟論壇發表比較全球148個不同地區的報告，以1至7分評分，探討世界資訊科技發展，無論數學與科學教育質素、教育質素，以及可在校內上網的情況，本港均較新加坡遜色，不但三甲不入，最好的數學與科學教育質素亦只排行第10。

      當中包括歸類為技能之一的數學與科學教育質素，本港獲5.5分，排名第10；然而一直被視為本港競爭對手的新加坡，則以6.3分，排榜首。#

   至於教育制度質素，則瑞士以6分高踞榜首，加坡則以5.8分排名第三；而香港則只有4.8分，排22。

      至於本港政府近年亦積極推出的校內上網系統，本港只有6.1分，列14；新加坡則排名第4；台灣、南韓、中國及日本則分別排名7、13、35、37。

不知道是比較那些學生程度，如果是高中，新高中之後，我估可能重差，繼續尋底。

Thx, I just want to double confirm its the right one.
I feel the report has other objectives, not for education - Maths & Science particularly. The so call conclusion may not be valid.

After reading the executive summary and table of content, I put a Big Question Mark ???????

I am too busy to cover a 400+ pages report ..... as the conclusion is not convincing.

覺得一向都係口水之爭。
香港係 100% 小朋友接受正規學校教育，有些較落後國家恐怕只有少數幸運的小朋友有書讀。
印象中記得有某個研究，話國內學生英文比香港小朋友水平高。
新加坡小朋友數學係唔係好過香港小朋友，我唔敢亂講，但佢地 d math text book 我看過，寫得幾好。

香港大部份人都唔肯接受自己比別人遜色, 亦從不接受別人優勝過自已, 欣賞別人優勝嘅地方, 自我感覺良好,因此固步自封。

我買過幾本最好的kindergarten science 書，都係新加坡出版。深入淺出，又吾貴，可惜香港吾多。

人地做得好既嘢，我地拿拿聲借鏡學習啦，學完可以青出於藍，何必介懷所謂排名。

完全同意
香港小學的數學和科學教育都做得唔好
一味強調死記，不求甚解
你睇下人地外國的數學和科學教材，唔係貪多慕得，以為教得多係好，人地係講啟發同理解。
中國人成日以為早識計數等於叻，但人地係教數學，唔係教算術囉!

有d好奇，其實而家新加坡d細路有無一日十樣八樣功課、個個星期中英文默書，又體又藝，一日無一個鐘頭玩，要搞到政府打鑼打鼓賣廣告提醒家長...
