Dear all
My son (now 2yr 11 mth old) is attending a Mandarin class at YauMaTei (Just next to exit D, within 3 min's walk, no need to cross the road, that is important) on Sundy, from 9:45-10:45 am. To me, it is find.  charging around HK$120.00/hr.  If you are interested to join, pm me.

My son has been studying there since mid of Jan 2005, after a period of warm-up, he could enjoy the class very much.

my daughter is +3 yrs old and has been attending Putonghua class once a week since Jan 05.  Maybe because it is only a weekly class, it seems she is not learning much from it.  will stop after the course ends.

perhaps it is better to have 2 or more lessons per week for learning languages, especially if the parents can't practise the language with the kids at home.

My child learnt Mandarin class once (1hour) per a week. native speaker. $220 for 4 classes. And she attended Mandarin Choir once (1.5 hr) once per a week in her nursery. $100 per class.

She doesn't really understand Mandarin but she can now distinguish what is Mandarin, what is Cantonese and what is English. She can count 1-1x in correct Mandarin accent some simple words. Though her progress is really slow (she has attended the Mandarin class for 4 months and Choir for a year), still it is worth to continue----because she like both classes.
