Island school

兒子獲Island school 錄，大家對這校有什麼意見？英基year 7-8 都改偏向IB的教育方式，大家認為如何？

唔好意思，想搭單問有沒有人知island school 通常由邊間英基小學升上去？

恕我直言，见识浅薄，island school的学生是我见过行为最差的。

Whether a child will go to Island School is not dependent on which ESF primary school he/she is attending but on his/her residential address, and follows ESF's catchment zones. Sometimes the arrangement could be a little baffling, like if a child lives in Tsing Yi he/she will go to Shatin Junior for primary but Island School for secondary.

there have been occasions that i was in the green van, with island school students, going from borrett road to central. they yelled and tapped on the windows trying to catch their friends' attention who were outside the van. they "talked" and laughed and swore bad words with super loud voice all the way until they got off the van. they were half standing and pointing at each other while they were on the van. they were so rude and had no respect to anyone.

I think there must be both naughty and good students in any school. I have known some Island School students who spent a lot of time organising service groups to teach local children English on a regular basis. Though this is part of their IB programme but they have done a lot more than required because they enjoyed helping people.

That's impressive! My girl is going to this school in the next term. Having read your past post, is your kid studying at Shatin College at the moment? I heard a lot of good comments and personally came by with a few graduates of Shatin College, they are really really outspoken and friendly.
