I think you need to have your son assessed by an educational psychologist (which I vaguely remembered that you had done so already), and through that an Individualized Education Programme will be devised. Then the psychologist will communicate with the EA regularly and instruct him/her how to work with the classroom teacher in order to help your boy. Very complicated? Yes, because that'll be your son's personal learning support system, and certainly that'll be expensive.

1. That's why we're very angry. We paid to the Edu Psy to do a private assessment, but he passed the report to ESF without our authorization. It is his recommendation that my son should go to the special school of ESF (not special class). However, we visited that school and doubt seriously if our son should be placed there. In fact, all of our son's teachers, OTs, STs...etc. do not agree with the recommendation made by the Edu Psy that our son should go to the special school.


2. That's really costly. However, we need to submit a plan to the school within one week. Would you please suggest any reference for us, so that we may be able to draft a plan by ourselves?

這是一個很大的警號,因為由你能夠發現開始至今已差不多5個月,而且還影響到你的心情...

小朋友始終言語表達能力有限,對"是否不開心"之類的問題通常都會正面地回應,故此很多時候輔導人員要透過一些非語言的方法探究兒童的內心世界,遊戲治療是其中一個方法

不要等衛生署了,盡快找一些志願團體的輔導服務,最好是熟悉遊戲/親子/家庭治療,相信會快一些找出問題的原因

Asking you to go back to the original EP for advice seems to be a daft idea...and honestly referring you to other people will conflict my own interest...may be I need to reconsider my "rules" as long as I don't charge my BK web-friends for consultation...  :-|

You can, if you don't mind, send me your son's reports by tomorrow (16/4-all reports- will pm you the address), and I'll draft you a letter (free of charge) explaining to the school head what I expect your son will require and what the EA should do. It might not be too detailed but at least that'll show him you are sincere enough to get someone to write the "plan."

Hope it helps...and it'll open the floodgate...may be I should start some charity organizations to do the whole thing...

囝囝己經兩歲三個月大，但他真的不多說人話，只說BB話！我真的很擔心... :cry:
他很喜歡看書，但只看英文書。
很多時陪他看書，當他聽見中文就走開。
A至Z佢可以讀到一半字母。
他見到狗會叫dog，間中見蘋果叫apple、鴨就叫duck、象就叫el....讀唔到成個音elephant...、daddy、mama...etc。
中文只會說唔要、好、車....(真的很少)...間中會講句好味、好睇、放係度。

我以前同佢講嘢又中又英....可能係咁...整到佢唔中唔英！
請問我可以怎樣做？

很多人說我老公是一個不愛說話的人，他的哥哥姐姐的兒子也是2歲半至3歲才說話.....，所以囝囝很可能也很遲才說話。這是真的嗎？

我是全職媽媽，見到囝囝咁...我好唔開心...覺得自己揍得佢唔好...奶奶常問我...有無教佢講嘢....間屋得我同佢....你話呢？...唉....我真的好煩惱好有壓力，連夢中也夢見囝囝終於會說話了。

2. 可能與平日多由外傭照顧有關...當然不同的人穩定地用同一種語言較好.入學後(如環境是中文)應有改善.

3. 男孩子的說話能力是真的比較遲熟的

中英夾雜對幼兒語言發展的確弊多於利，由現在起立志戒掉這個壞習慣吧﹗我明白有些字孩子只會對英文有反應，那是因為他聽得比較多的結果。你可以仍然用廣東話，不用替他翻譯，慢慢他便會知道這個中文字的意思。既然某一件物件他學懂了英文詞彙，一定也會學懂中文的詞彙，過渡期有少少混亂不要緊。

足兩歲的小朋友，應該起碼能正確運用50個詞彙(milk和"奶奶"當一個計)，而且開始將兩個詞語合拼使用，例如：食餅餅，媽媽抱。以現況看來，他有點慢了。

我會建議你到健康院要求轉介言語治療師排期作評估。雖然爸爸、表哥、表姐等也是起步較遲，但我們不能確保這孩子會一樣追到，以防萬一，還是做一做評估好。沒事的話求個安心也好，對嗎？而且排期需時，不要等了。

另外，我有一份資料，教家長平日跟孩子說話時用什麼方法可以促進孩子的溝通技巧(各位注意，即之前寄出的一份，已經收到的請不要再給我電郵地址。因為我記性不好，有點忙亂﹗謝謝﹗)。你可以參考一下，如有需要，告訴我你的電郵地址便可。

愧不敢當,我實在都鍾意錢既...但總覺得在執業與公益要取個平衡,盡力去做...

商台剛公佈了我之前所講的學習障礙初步評估...懷疑小朋友(6歲以上)有學習困難的家長可考慮一下
