Schedule for :

Gym Tot (13m - 24m) : $10 sessions, $640 member / $710 non-member
Either Tues 1 - 1:45 pm, 10 May - 12 July;
OR Wed 12:15 - 1pm, 11 May - 13July

Gym Tot (25m - 36m) : $10 sessions, $640 member / $710 non-member
Either Fri 12:20 - 1:05 pm, 13 May - 15 July;
OR Sat 12:40 - 1:25 pm, 7 May - 9 July

Pre-School Gymnastics
Level 1 (Ages 3 - 5) : 10 sessions, $650 member / $720 non-member
EITHER Tues 4:30 - 5:30 pm, 10 May - 12 July
OR Wed 2:40 - 3:40 pm, 11 May - 13 July
OR Fri 1:35 - 2:35 pm, 13 May - 15 July
OR Sat 9 - 10 am, 7 May - 9 July

After passing Level 1, the kids will progress to Level 2, then Level 3 and Level 4.  Levels 2 - 4 are for kids aged 3 - 6.

There will be assessment(s) and a little competition towards the end of the gym programme, and also a report slip.  A valid report slip (i.e. pass) is required for progression to next higher level.

Application for non-members :
I think this should be 16 Mar - 20 Mar 2005, form can be downloaded from their website.

(New participants who would like to join the YMCA gymnastics programme are welcome to attend)
Pls contact Ms. Florence Ho, Senior Programme Officer at 2268-7088 during office hours for an appointment on or after 10 March .
Fee for assessment : $20
Assessment dates : Sat 19 Mar, 1:30 - 2 pm; Tues 29 Mar, 7 - 7:30 pm
You can call to ask but I think this is for participants who wish to join higher level gym classes instead of Level 1.

There are about 20 kids in Level 1 class, with 2 or more instructors to a class.  (Forgot exact no. of instructors, but it must be between 2 - 4, anyway not less than 2.)  Classes are held in the gym on 2/F of TST YMCA.
Smaller kids do learn to become less clumsy after these classes, and their movement is smoother.

My son have join the Gym-TOT which held by YMCA before. But i think the tutor (a chinese lady, short hairs but i forgot her name) is terrible and the enviornment is dirty and not attractive.

Now my son join a course by The little Gym at TST New World CTR. Even the cost is higer than YMCA, but the environment, the quality of tutors are better than YMCA.

唔係呀，我見到有男導師，但唔清楚有無女導師，好似有掛。
個gym 都唔係好dirty呀。同埋點樣至attractive ？    

我個仔有個朋友仔學緊，我們有去看他練習，是個普通size 的gym，2層樓高度，有數個羽毛球場大，tst ymca 有些球類班都在那個gym的。
同埋tst ymca 選教練/導師，都有quali 的要求，唔會俾d unqualified 的人士教的。
ymca還有個gym team，去參加公開賽取得不少獎項的，上高d level，就並非柴哇哇的gym class。
而每個level 都有既定要求，並非一定能pass的。

My son is 2 and half years old baby, He just join Little Gym at New world Centre and feel not bad.And they get a introduce lesson as well.

I think YMCA is more focused towards gymnastics skills whereas The Little Gym is more like a playgroup with colourful gym apparatus.  Depends what you want.  Here are more comments about The Little Gym.

一般其他學校既gym class, 考既係香港試(金銀銅章), 要六歲至開始考, 南華會好在細細個都有試考, 係英國試, 由七級開始上, 最叻一級, 教練話學左幾個月, 叻既都可以試考七級試, 而且無最低年齡限制
同埋考試一d都唔formal, 只係上堂時多左個考官睇住, 小朋友烏下烏下, 考左都唔知, 唔會有壓力

My girl tried both YMCA & Sportscene.
I think YMCA is good, not dirty and Miss is nice.
Sportscene also good.

Do you mean YMCA is better than Sportscene?  If so, in what ways?  Sportscene is a better choice for me in terms of location and transport.  However, I noticed from the pictures in their website that the class size is rather big.  Is that really the case?  Thanks.
