Is St Paul's college a good college compare to King's?

聖保羅、聖保祿係香港都有幾間，很易混淆 ！

迦密都有相似情況，大埔有迦密柏雨、迦密聖道，九龍城有迦密中學，西貢有迦密主恩。還有聖若瑟、聖芳濟。最經典莫過於喇沙了，真係唔好揀錯。有同學就係因為從加拿大回流香港不熟識香港的情況，只聽聞喇沙是好學校，竟然在選校時以陳瑞祺喇沙作首選，幸好這幾年這名同學在水記都能名列前矛！

如果只講學術成績, 睇番elbar的資料吧,

SPC是直資， 簽了offer就不會比King's取錄， 冇人知放棄了SPC是否等如King's 收

我兒子是今年SPC 中一生, 已過半學期學習非常開心, 適應, 在他口中得知學校老師很有料, 今年的中一生學習能力很高, 我兒子以前小學成績在頭幾名, 現在中學只能在中間位置

比較黎做乜？KC係成績好D，
但選學校又唔洗選最好果間，
足夠好就可以。
計我話Band 1學生入邊間Band 1學校都可以。
龍頭學校都有成績差學生。
所有學校學生成績都係 almost normally distributed。
SPC 同 KC 係非常不同style 的中學，睇你小朋友適合邊間啦！
不過話話時話，SPC一定好資源D，話曬係直資。KC係官校，點都要睇教育局班官頭。

自己兒子是什麼質数,讀的是否B1中學，學校是否好中學。相信SPC的家長應該自己心中有數。根本不用理會或和外人爭辯。過幾年，數據會證明所有。

Hi tttw1,

讚成之餘， academic data is only part of the story.   As a parent of of SPC , I cannot rate KC in any manner as rulers at hearts are in different scale. Academic results in one year or in several years did represent the ups and downs of a school. But, as only child, in the case of my family, thy microscopic impact to my child counts more.   In the 11 or so years experience with in SPC, I learned several things:

1.  Resources count a lot in education, the DSS system allows more resources for students, even the system is not a fair one for not only KC but all non-DSS schools.


2.  SPC offers opportunities to her boys to learn things which are important for them when entering the society.  Please don't interpret that I claimed KC not offering the same.

3.  The brotherhood and the Christian values even I am not a Christian myself.


Both schools are undoubtedly leading boy schools in town but the current education system does not favour boys, so I recommend boy schools more the co-ed schools.   If a boy has offer from SPC, but with sure chance getting into KC, either will do.  My bottom line would be; If it is not sure chance, personally I won't take such risk.  


I always hate abc vs. xyz for any schools, it is because we are not selecting shoes or watching English premier.


Sorry for 1999! (an expression, our children love to use quite a lot lately.)

十分同意!!! 真係該校家長先好黎講啦！ 最憎塘邊鶴亂評論!!! 尤其xx2000 呢位會員, 成日四圍噴口水! 以 不要問,只要信 的祺號四處唱衰他校!!!

兩間學校無分別，都係好好B1，傳統名校，入到都應該開心，個位二千簡正係Bk極品，自己果間就最好，其他學校都垃圾，近幾年不停搞事搞非，心地唔好，唉不過見怪不怪，唔祗伛BK有好多扮專心都唔係有心解答其他家長問題。

唉Bk有好多熱心人士，其實係討論區講下意見都無咩所謂，但基本尊重都應該要拉，但我祗覺HKma,chipa,el三位係真係幫到大家，真係有资料有數據，所以多謝灑。

Both are good schools with only marginal difference.  I think over 80% of their students are from same group, but SPC offers certainty, not a difficult decision to make.
