想入CKY小學

CKY is an IB approach school from G1 - G12, now claimed not enough time to prepare IBDP, but spend 2 years for IGCSE. Drop the IGCSE, then has 12 years for IBDP preparation instead of 10 years.

ESF is fully accredited PYP, MYP and IBDP, IGCSE just icing on the cake.

我以為CKY  IGCSE 只是當一個公開試實習 ? 而家睇樓上即是好多是靠IGCSE 在未考IB的低些年級己出左去, 比例大嗎? 可以去邊? 之後所以得番好少人考IB 式試?

其它好主力考IGCSE的學校有哪些?

以我所知 IGCSE 大約只等於以前中五會考的程度, 好似主要係去英國升學先有用; 如有錯請改正

Interesting question!

LPC, DBS, SPCC IB Stream don't take IGCSE. What do you think? Any insight for you?

The exam skills for two exams are quite different.

我見如優才會安排一些學生在F2/F3之類的年紀去考 IGCSE, 當是公開試的預習, 考到就好, 考不到亦不打緊, 因為GT主力都是香港的GSE.   我以為CKY 都是如此用意, 始終是主力在IB試, 但現看來CKY反而主力在IGCSE (或被動地在考完IGCSE 之後流了一部份尖子), 如AnChan59 前輩所言 2 種試的training都不一樣, 即是如果成績非標青又讀IB的, 放主力在IGCSE 好似比IB會好些.  (當然主力是出英國讀) ?

I haven't heard that CKY  is an IB approach school in G1 to G10, nor somebody in school claimed that they haven't enough time to prepare IBDP.

Actually, the curriculum for IGCSE(O level) and the old HKCE were similar (of course HKCE is harder), and which were similar to all secondary levels for all over the world, I guess. The GCE A level was similar to the old A level exam in HK and IBDP. Therefore, if the students are ready to take the IBDP course, they should have the academic standard equivalent to that of IGCSE or HKCE. That's mean before we do IBDP, we should have the ability to pass the IGCSE. That's why, I think, CKY takes this as an exit point for G10.

The results of IGCSE is also a good references for the Universities to predict the students' IB grades as to give them offers.

好多幼稚園都會安排家長參觀直、私小學，有d幼稚園仲安排参觀津小，目的讓家長多認識間小學，公道d，唔好講到人地打關系入學啦！

淨係學費都6xxx一個月, 加埋校車應該要8000左右, 其它自己計

School fee for secondary is 79xx. For secondary, some students do have tutorial outside of school. But not a lot of them having tutorial.

The IGCSE result is posted on the school web. 61% got a* to a. The  result is as good as KGV, and better than Island school. They are ESF schools.

To correct you, ESF is not accredited with MYP for its secondary schools. Only RCHK and DC( Private schools of ESF) are IB train school. both of them do not do IGCSE.
