如果小朋友get in IS, after K2 should go to primary! If not success, how can he go? Back to local K3? Should be behind the standard!

我明你的憂慮。我識得有個媽咪佢個女同我仔仔一齊讀woodland，一夠年齡大家都報考不同的國際學校，但佢個女最終都無offer，舊年佢就係驚無國際學校收轉咗佢個女去讀local kindy，轉了後個女適應得幾好，佢有繼續考國際學校，但都係無offer。唯有等大抽獎。

我的意見是如果你一心比小朋友讀國際學校，就唔好只target esf，因為入esf kindy，真係唔一定上到esf小學，係有機會唔能夠直升的。Even你揀咗讀esf kindy，我諗你都要兩手準備，要周圍去考其他的國際學校，以防萬一。如果唔想冒險，你可能要搵D雙語教得好D的local school，例如Victoria，咁本地同國際兩邊都去考吓都得。我有朋友兒子讀了兩年Victoria，突然想幫佢轉國際學校，轉咗去small world讀一年，跟住入咗esf，佢純粹係誤打誤撞，不是有意這樣鋪排，但就係這樣隨意的情況下，佢個仔在victoria打好咗中文根基，而家就算讀國際學校，教佢中文都易好多。不似我兒子，由於我一心想佢讀國際學校，我驚佢D英文會唔夠好考唔到小學，所以從小就比佢讀國際學校，佢D中文係差好多，教亦教得辛苦D。(不過，也有小孩從小讀國際學校中文根底不是太差的，主要要早些教，在家多講)，我那時驚同佢講得中文多，佢interview會又中又英，影響入讀機會，所以三歲前我哋都無同佢講中文。現在有些後悔了，唯有急起直追！

Because ESF primary schools (not sure if all of them but mine is) run IB PYP, kids are taught the IB learner profiles which beneficial a lifetime.. And I was impressed by how my kid has adopted the profiles and articulate them well.

你個仔今年先讀K，priority行新制；舊制d歷史數據/成功率對你黎講已冇乜參考價值；
NR每年有Quota(Individual 150[估計大部份係Year 1]；Corporate唔知有幾多但估計有限亦唔會全部係Year 1)；
Staff Children 數目有限公司；
Siblings每年數目一定唔少(見有siblings的同學仔比例實在唔少)；
餘下不論是否ESL kindy的申請都係random睇彩數。

其實不論新制舊制；今時今日不論你係邊間幼稚園；一定要報多幾間Year 1；永遠無錯。

About the priority for admission, one of the esf primary mentions:

"4. Children enrolled in ESF International Kindergartens will be prioritised for interview for September 2013 and September 2014, subject to having attended the kindergarten for a minimum of two terms prior to the applicable January Year 1 interview period"

does it mean the student of ESF Kindergarten has the priority of ESF primary's interview? is the priority obvious? Thx!

What you have quoted is no longer valid for all ESF Schools except RCHK.  Below is the new admission priority.  

2. Priority for Admission
Students applying for enrolment to an ESF school are placed on a waiting list.  Priority for an admissions interview/assessment will be based on the following ranked criteria; students who are able to benefit from an English medium education and who (in order):
1. Are Corporate Nomination Rights Nominees
2. Are the children of full-time staff at ESF or ESF Educational Services Ltd
3. Are siblings of students already attending an ESF primary or secondary school or Jockey Club Sarah Roe School
4. Are Individual Nomination Rights Nominees
5. Are the children of former students who have attended an ESF school for a minimum of 3 years or are former ESF students returning from a period overseas
6. Are other applicants who can benefit from an English-medium education

Note:-
For Year 1 central applications made in September 2013 and September 2014 only, children enrolled in ESF International Kindergartens will be prioritised for interview, subject to having attended the kindergarten for a minimum of two terms prior to the applicable January Year 1 interview period.
