伊頓國際來港開幼園 學費月收9700 計劃辦中小學

【明報專訊】來自新加坡、在亞洲擁有逾70間國際學校的伊頓國際教育集團，昨宣布在香港開設首間幼稚園，擬採用國際文憑課程（IB，International Baccalaureate），以教授多種語言招徠。遊戲小組（playgroup）、幼兒預備班（pre-nursery）至高班（K3）課程，上下午兩節共提供360個學額，每月學費介乎4840元（港元，下同）至9700元。2014至15學年的pre-nursery至K3現正招生，遊戲小組則已開始上課。

學多國語言招徠

據該校網頁顯示，其校舍位於大潭紅山道，採用意大利瑞吉歐（Reggio Emilia Educational Project）教學方法，鼓勵孩子運用談話、唱歌、跳舞、畫畫、寫字、互相合作、戲劇表演和音樂等多種方式表達，藉鼓勵他們探索周圍環境和表達自己，培育他們成為有自信、有能力、有責任感、且懂得多國語言的世界公民。

遊戲小組每星期2堂或3堂，每月學費分別為4840元及6050元，學額共60個；幼兒預備班、幼兒班（K1）、幼稚園低班（K2）及高班（K3）每月學費均為9700元；pre-nursery、K1共有190個學額，而K2及K3共有110個學額。

伊頓國際教育集團創辦人及董事長胡錦珠表示，看好香港對高質素教育的需求，已於香港科學園白石角附近覓得第2間幼稚園的校舍，擬於明年9月開課，下一步計劃是開辦小學和中學。

投資推廣署助理署長戴威士表示，香港的國際學校學額需求殷切，期望新幼稚園能吸引更多海外高級管理人員來港工作。

亞洲共70所學校

伊頓國際教育集團於1995年成立，開辦國際學校、幼稚園以及提供幼兒教師教育課程，在亞洲10個國家及地區均有分校，包括內地、新加坡、印度、印尼、韓國、日本、馬來西亞、柬埔寨、越南和香港，超過70所國際學校和伊頓幼稚園，有逾6000多名來自61個不同國籍的兒童就讀。

This is EtonHouse, a Singapore business running many international schools in Asia, it has no connection with Eton public school in UK {:1_1:}

This group runs over 70 "schools" across Asia, but less than 10 are primary schools. Their focus is mainly on preschool. 2 of their IBO accredited school in their "home country", Singapore only runs PYP up to 6yrs old. But PYP theoretically is at its best for 5-11, why would Eton House group extend such efforts to be accredited with a program and not maximizing its benefits?
I heard various comments from friends in Singapore but it might be a stretch in personal perspective too. However, looking at how the schools are presented and their development positioning over the years.... I would say it's fame supersede its founding aims.
