ICS should be better for US and Canadian U's but CKY's IGSCE should be more useful if planned to switch to UK A-level/U's.

your kid must be very smart!
Is your kid very strong in music/ sports?
Is he/ she very out-going and presentable?

My son has high english proficiency but a bit introvert, which hinder the success of interviews, I really wanna find a way to help me, otherwise, his confidence must be defeated badly in local schools.

he is outspoken and not shy to strangers. his english is not very smart. we are lucky to get the offer

Congratulations! I guess it depend on where do you plan to put ur boy in U? If its USA or Canada, ICS is a better choice. But if UK/ HK,  maybe CKY is better(consider the school fee difference is nearly double too）

但要留意, 大部份ICS, 小朋友, 最後去加拿大, 美國讀書

少數留港

ICS 較注重全面, 真係近美式教育 (AP 報香港的大學較蝕底)

不過小朋友較主觀, 不喜歡補習

去到讀AP時, 好多人最後都DROP 某些科（特別是ＡＰ　ＰＨＹ，　多同學ＤＲＯＰ）


所以想留港

讀下下轉校


同不少ICS 小朋友傾計, 佢地不當自己是中國人

好傳統, 當自己是中國人的父母, 可能有思維衝突

佢地當自己是美國人/加拿大人/香港人

思維, 觀值觀 較西方

想請問, 以AP成績來說, ICS 算不算是TOP 呢?
In Hong Kong, there are only 3 schools adopting the US curriculum - ICS, American International and HKIS. The academic performance is in the middle among the 3 US system schools according to my observation.

I do not think it is disadvantageous to use AP result to apply for admission to local universities. Contrary to this belief, I think US system has its own advantage. Since there are not much applicants from the US education system, for diversity reason, many of the local colleges are prepared to admit students from US system. My two kids come from US education system. My son graduated in law from a top UK college and my daughter has both offers from the two local medical schools. The qualification of AP is world wide recognised (apart from the US and Canadian colleges).

點解若想留港, 讀讀下要轉校呢? 轉去行IB 的學校嘛?



Every education system has its strong and weak points. In my view there is no perfect education system. For example, since IB requires the students to take 6 subjects from different academic areas, the IB students may have adjustment problem in the first year if they take the technical subjects such as engineering or actuary on the reason that they study less foundation science courses in the IB program..


If your kids can keep a good academic performance consistently in an AP school or other education system, I do not think it will benefit him if he is switched to another education system.
