For P1 and P2, split classes applied to all 3 subjects of Chinese, English and Maths.  They have 5 classes x 30 students but 7 groups of English/Chi/ Maths.  So each split class got around 20-22 students in order to make the class smaller and more focus based on the needs of different students.  For P3, the students would then be put into split class for Eng/ Chi/ Maths based on their academic results.  Please correct me if my understanding is not accurate.

咁係咪p3開始有精英班出現?會否有labeling effect? <------ sorry, 吾太明 labeling effect 即係點?因我個級又吾覺有mug問題,同學,家長之間都相處融洽

例如我女英文又吾係好標青,上年split左,我問過老師,老師話吾一定係成績好標青,學生係由split班的老師和其他老師開會揀㗎喎,今年我女中文都係一般,又入split,輪到英文無得split,所以家長都覺得split class吾係咁特別,當然有d學生會覺得被split開心㗎,多功課果時除外lor,因split class功課真係多d的,我女Math成績吾錯,so年年split,咁我估即係中至中上都會有可能被split,加操行同平時上堂表現,要夠主動,有學習意欲,吾可以曳同lazy咁lo,so 吾覺有 labeling effect, 而且成績表無分數,無名次,吾會鬥一餐

再高年級就吾知,我都想知

請問wkf初小的上課時間, 是否上午主要是 學術性, 下午是 做功課 或 課外活 動?

Split class not necessary to split the "better standard" ... it could also split out the behind or less advance ones.

For example on this year P3, Math split class are for those need more practice in certain area to strengthen part of their maths skills compare to the majority.

For Chinese and English, classes are in different learning perspective.  A-School never label their childs  The purpose for split class is to lower the number of kids in class and let the teachers could have more attention to the basic academic training for them.

Don't take serious judge to the kids on their performance no matter they are in split classes or not.

The most important is that if the children could hav the best fitting training way for them to learn what they need to.

我覺得除左多看書之外,家長都要幫小朋友多默書,這些傳統方法不能少,例如英文要多串verb, adjectives,中文要默詞語,單靠多看書,孩子仍然經常串錯,寫錯字,但係你幫他默了,他一世都記得,亦都可在寫作時用返。

今年五年班,中文科教了很多文法、修辭,句式,也差不多每星期默書,仔仔學習這些東西很好,容易取得好成績,所以很有成功感,學習中文的興趣也大大增加。
