那主要看你自己的選擇, 英國學校普遍倡行全人教育, 注重參予課外活動, 香港式的教育只着重科目學習, 看看那類較適合自己的孩子。不過, 兩地學費差別很大。

你是考到排名250左右的學校, 還是agent建議你報排名250左右的學校?  Agent 往往為生意為先, 對一般非名校學生多建議排名200後的學校, 你可以自行或指定報排名較高的學校。學校收生不一定只看琴棋書畫等証書, 反而著重學生的個人性和面試表現。

再者, 英國私校有2000多所, 排名250即頭1X%。此外, 坊間有不同的排名, 要看是採用什麼準則去排名。

排名用A*-A %囉，已考過排名170左右的學校啦，都考唔到。而家冧緊250左右的學校，但係得35%A*-A, 好唔好用咁多錢去英國讀書呢，或1. 在英讀foundation, 2. 留港讀IVE或副學士再top up, 那樣好D. 好難決擇。

Is you kid in senior years? You applied through agents? Some agents are not honest, be careful!  Why not try more agents.  Also British council is holding a shcool fair this month, should be useful.

Normal route (GCSE & A levels), Foundation, IVE/ assciate degree are different and students are different too.

Have to be very careful, the kid's experience will be quite different.

請問英國中學採用IB課程與一般的傳統課程學校,在升上大學方面有何分別?如小朋友在香港不是讀IB課程的學校,到英國升讀IB課程是否很難適應呢?

If you are talking about A level, there are many 2xx in range of 40-50% A*-A.

Try some more.  There may be other reasons that accounts for the failure.  Again, UK schools do not just look at exam result.  They look at the person instead.

Give yourself more confident.

呀仔成績麻麻地，但為人好正義，好純品，真係唔想放棄佢。香港成績我估計都係2233，希望英國讀書會好D。佢的成績可以入到乜英國boarding school，有無好介紹。應該揀乜排名好呢？我已中了agent招，介紹D唔arm level D 學校，唔通真係要報10問咩。

How old is your son? And what school is he in at the moment? Does he have any extra-curricular interest? Which schools have he tried and failed?
It'll be easier for us if we learn a little bit more about him before giving any suggestions.

係A level, 係香港讀band 2  尾D學校，考過new hall school 都唔得。都唔知點算？

If his predicted grades are 2233, he might not get into good universities' foundation courses after DSE. I think going to UK for A-level is a worthwhile gamble. But pushing him into a highly competitive school is not a good idea as it can ruin his confidence. i think he needs a school with good pastoral care that can get the best out of him and help him to achieve the best from his ability. I would recommend St Edward's Qxford and Bloxham (also in Oxfordshire), both renowned for their pastoral care even if their rankings are not very high. You can look up their website and write to them directly. Your son sounds like a really good kid and I do hope he can be nurtured into reaching his full potential and even beyond! Best of luck,
