Hi Workmama,

Well, very long story.  My kids were born in Hong Kong and they are also Canadian Cit ...

I just wanna say I am touched.  Every kid deserve a parent like you.  And yes, like you, I want my boy to grow with his own thoughts, sense and creativity.  I hope I won't end up going with the flow and driving my boy to become a machine, coz it is never easy to go against the trend.

Studying in local school could save a big bunch of money but money cannot buy creativity.

I am sure that all parents care about their children.  And i am not complainting the teachers in local schools.  I think it is that education system in Hong Kong that drives everyone crazy.  

I am not sure if my son can get an offer from CAIS.

請問有無人知CAIS，多唔多海外留學團或另外付費課外活動?

小學通常去day trip 或 year 4 起有 3 days camp, 都是幾十至幾百蚊不等。到high school 先有overseas trip, 但亦選擇參加在HK舉行的activity.

Hi everyone, I am applying P5 for coming year as local school are very high pressure and he lose his interest on his sports as homework, dictation etc is routine job everyday, so need to look for better school which not only concerns homework ...Does anyone know is that hard to get into this school?? Thanks

我個仔以前在cais讀year 1 to year 7 first term, 一直都不多功課，亞仔話在學校可以完成啲功課，就算完成不到，帶番屋企亦都不會花太多時間完成。他在cais一直都讀得好開心。我們一家搬去overseas, 所以他讀到去年年尾。

Can you tell me which grade you apply? prep or Grade 1? I 've recived an email that they cannot give us a Grade 1 seat at this time and will notify us between April 7 to August 1...

Hi all, nice to find a thread on here about CAIS!  I am interested in CAIS a lot too, my son is in local kindi K2 now.

Do stds of CAIS need to take a lot of supplementary academic courses like local primary stds do? My son's classmates are already taking KUMON math,  extra Phonics course, Chinese course, etc.!!!

We are returning Canadians and I already feel the pressure on my son now bcos of the HK education system, and can't agree more with what u guys shared above and our hopes on our kids.

hi justserene, my son has been CAIS for more than six years, he never has extra tutorials apart from the school life. you will be amazed the kid learns very fast at school.
