GF also hunt teacher from funful (kln tong) because I heard from a parent that , she recognized a GF teacher. They met before when she attended playgroup @funful with her kid. The teacher taught @ funful.

thanks. it is good that GF can reschedule time. Many kindergartens do not allow reschedule time.  It seems that GF is more expensive than LH.  GF 課程深嗎?值得讀嗎?

Yes she likes the schoolteachers are net and good (as hunted from LH and other school)

how about comparing the 2 kinders in the following ways:

- teaching philosophy
- carefulness and heart of teachers
- content of classes (play / language / projects)
- homework (time expected per day and parents involvement)
- teachers' ability
- environment

我小朋友pn及現在K1也在GF long beach讀。so far 都好滿意學校。本身我小朋友好怕羞、被動、怕事，但進步了很多，pn畢業禮時，成班同學上台表演，好投入，見佢唱歌唱到好high。課程屬於偏深。現在K1上學期，開始揸筆連缐、畫點點。maths concept用英文教。普通話用青田出版的「我自己會讀」系列，英文用Oxford reading tree，phonics現在K1上學期是letter phonics revision (因為pn已教），下學期開始教jolly phonics。廣東話用「教育出版社」教材。K1返學3.5 hours，我小朋友選了英普粵班，每日1.5 hours English , 1.5 hours PTH ., 0.5 hour Cantonese. 師生比例max 1:8。每月費用大約$6300.

不過，LH 名氣大D，而且有考小一成績參考，這亦是GF long beach不足之處，因為是新校。

漏咗講，每星期都有親子閱讀。

至於老師方面，相信每間學校的老師都有好有唔好，每個人的教法、風格都唔同。而我小朋友都算幸運，pn時和現在K1的老師都對佢好好、好留意佢。湊返學時，我會問吓老師阿女現在上課如何，老師說，因為她的性格是咁咁咁，所以我哋會咁咁咁教佢。老師係講中哂阿女的性格。大致上, GF long beach老師大多是年輕的，但care學生。另外，校長都好落力吓，每日返學都幫手take care學生。我想，這也是細校的優點，校長會同家長social吓，傾吓小朋友在校的情況。

功課方面，每天都有功課，1至兩樣。另每星期親子閱讀，要做book report.

Thanks very much for your information.
I just phoned them and they said cannot change interview time unless
parents are not in HK that day (need boarding pass) or
children is sick(need medicine letter for proof).

I think getting into LH is more difficult than GF. Should I interview GF instead of LH ?
My baby girl is august baby.

A mama said, LH (HL campus ), 5 pn class, 4 k1 class. So......I think it's difficult to get a placement there . U can call LH (HL campus) to ask how many new k1 students for the academic year 2013-14.
