有可能。但其實孩子三歲左右一般己把母語掌握得不錯。與其歳幾便三四種語言，每種語言才用單字，不如到三歲左右才全句句子般學習，風險大大減少，又不會太遲。

啊女由YC 轉了新校一個月，英文口語表達進步很大(真的很不同)。以前系YC， 她說每天除了上課，同學都說廣東話，語言環境真的不足。 可能yc year2 情況不一樣。但我覺得除非學生的母語是普通話或英文， 在YC 可能 兩頭不到岸。
明白中文重要，但我仍寧轉校，再出外補普通話和自己教。

我知道既同你相反..我侄女讀YC既高年級(10歲)佢D英文好流利,唔肯講中文(但佢識)我同佢講中文都用英文應,佢話係學校講英文,but都有人講中文

My baby is in ITLP class. She speaks only English and not too willing to speak Cantonese.  She understands Chinese but is only wiling to respond in English.  She is half Chinese.  She is only 21 months and able to construct full English sentence.  She spends most of the time with NET teacher.  I believe lang. developement is all depends on kid.

同意！就算不能掌握2種語言，都唔一定要先學母語。Bilingual since birth is possible.  最重要是讓小朋友“浸”在語言裡。

My daughter is in YCIS K1 class, honestly speaking, English level is good but I think it is not as good as other IS school such as ESF. 20% from mainland and 20% from jp, no foreigners.
I do think nothing is perfect. YCiS is strong in Chinese and I believe learning Chinese is more difficult than learning English. Having good foundation in Chinese and happy learning is important at this stage. I heard from other parents who hv kids in primary school that in P1, kids are able to read English books by themselves.
Having mainlanders in class is not a bad thing. Hv chance to listen and speak mandarin and my daughter is used to live with multi languages environment. One of the most advantages to study in IS is peergroup  network, which I think quite important for one to work after graduation.

May I ask ur daughter was study in half day or whole day class in 2 yrs old?  And field trip they hv in 2 yrs old?Do u hv any plan to send your daughter study aboard in the future?

my daughter took half day only in 2 year old class as i gave her other extra-curriculum activities such as ballet. her classmates took full day class in 2 year old class, and they are quite independent as they need to take care themselves like tidying up bed after afternoon nap, and eat by themselves.
YC also has school picnic, just go park for half day.
if my daughter is capable, why not sending her out of hk for further study? but it is too early to plan
