my son is 2 yrs old and will start full day nursery next week. Any tips for me? As my son joins in the middle of the year, the nursery won't let me go with him into the classroom. I am very worried.

Don't worry too much, the teacher will handle it well. Actually it is good that your son join in the middle of the year because your son will get full attention by the teacher compared to those who joined in September.

You may encounter situation where your son will cry for the first month due to the separation anxiety, but always say that you will fetch him when class is over and say all the good things about school. This is only a transitional period.
