What's the interview format regarding the existing esf kinder student?

There will be a seminar organized by the school  prior to the interview to tell you what to expect for the interview.
Last year, according to my son, a small group of kids went into a classroom with 2 teachers, they were read a story, and then asked questions about the story... Kids played among themselves and teacher walked to them to join them, asked questions about what they were holding or what to do with the thing/ toy, also asked if they could write their name or some alphabets and numbers as well as drawing.... These are what my son told me after the interview. Not sure how accurate it is though.
I guess what the teachers wanted to assess was about the English language capability, conversation and comprehension, in order to cop with studying and socializing in school. Secondly, to also find out if the kid was willing to participate, speak up or asked questions, even irrelevant silly questions...another thing was probably about how the kid interacted with other kids or other grown ups. Though I was told by my son that he was asked if he could write his name, he assured me that the teacher said it's ok if he couldn't... And the school emphasized repeatedly that they don't expect year 1 kids to come in with writing capability.
As for the parents waited for their kids, they were invited family by family to meet the principal for a 5-10minutes chat about their kids. Questions like if we know there were any friends/classmates of our kid would be joining too; why the school?; what to expect?; about the kid in general...
I am not sure if all these are still applicable for this years admission interview given ESF has just changed the admission policy effective this year, adding the parental statement, and really stated down that the school will be assessing the  kid's language capability, whereas in the past, this was not stated, as far as I remember..... Hope these help.

Oops hb12699, sorry I didn't see that you asked specifically about the format for "existing ESF kindy" kids. That one I don't know, my kid is not from ESF Kindy.

Is Existing ESF kinder student same?

Or they interview at ESF kinder on school day??

Totally the same. Kids in the same kindergarten are grouped to the same interview session. It helps kids perform better.

That's mean esf will arrange an extra time slot to meet the parents, right ?
