ESF.... 70% possess foreign passport... That means 30% are not, that's quite a high percentage indeed! Why are you so disappointed? Even if you belong to the 70% group, haven't you heard many of those in the group are not offered a place while many of those in the 30% group are offered a place? ESF in this case, most importantly, if your kid has what it takes to benefit from the international school system, I don't see the importance of "owning a foreign passport".
Or if you can afford the $500K ESF NR, that gives you a really high chance getting in I guess.
It's not as bad as what you think... Cheer up.
I think not every kid benefit from one system or one type of school. If they don't take your kid, apart from telling you that you are not "lucky enough", it also tells you that this is not a place where your kid would benefit from.
