But bear in mind that SPCC offers slightly easier courses (for languages) than DBS, as far as I know, for this cohort (please confirm this). It seems that their students of this cohort did not pursue a bilingual diploma.

Average - 35.3

SIS
44 - 1
40+ - 34.8%
Average - 37

VSA
40+ - 15%
Average - 34.1

Congratulation to your friend's kid, even the school shouldn't disclose the result at this moment.

They are HK residents, they are eligible for NJ route for UGC funded seats.

Academically, I always consider SPCC > DBS.
But we pick a school not just academical focus.

First we had CIS, LPC and FIS competing in the IB arena. Then we had other IS such as AIS, CDNIS, ESF, ISF, SIS, GSIS........ joined in. They are then followed by local schools such as DBS and SPCC. As if the competition is not fierce enough, we now have more than 60 IB schools in China entering the IB arena and the number is still growing fast. Everybody is vying for more or less the same universities in HK and abroad. 正式七國咁亂! I am afraid HK kids will soon find that their main competitors do not come from other schools in HK. Their biggest threat will probably be students from China. We will see.
