Sat明珠臺有Australian Junior Masterchef。平日明珠930有d關yu動物的documentary都好睇。

請問有無D係有故意性架?早排睇咗"朱古力獎門人",無字幕齋聽,可能講得唔快,估唔到阿囡都聽得明7-8成

前排我係大眾書店買左"朱古力獎門人" 同 " Fantastic Mr Fox" dvd, $100 兩隻.
我會開埋英文字幕. 佢地熟左個故事, 我就去圖書館借埋原著本書引佢地睇.

感人的: 有"Charlotte's web " "寶貝小豬嘜" "魔法保姆麥菲 (Nanny Mcphee)"

如果喜歡動作一點的可看"Spy Kids" 圖書館都有Spy kids 既小說 , 仲有"貓狗鬥一番"

I see. I have read before that English subtitles are good and that it helps with reading and comprehension.

I don't understand, why not use the subtitles?

You tend to focus on the subtitles if you read them instead of doing what you should do, listening. Also you enjoy less the program because you are not viewing the video, you are viewing the subtitles.

If the children start late, really have trouble listening to program designed for their age, then there is no choice but to use subtitles. But we should consciously try to remove the dependency on subtitles.

I think depends on whether one is trying to train listening or reading? Reading the subtitles does help to build fluency given how fast they scroll sometimes. Actually not easy for kids.

You don't train your abs by casual running/jogging, right?

Train reading by reading lots of books.
Train listening by watching TV/movies and talking to English speaking people.

For kids with lots of reading, following subtitles is easy peasy. The amount of reading they can do in a 1.5 hours movie is much more than and much faster than subtitles anyway. Not to mention the quality of the English: colloquial vs proper written English.

Don't mind "one" article about the Finns, which is actually a commercial site doing business. It does not address my concerns.
