請教各位mama我仔ge情況係唔係要讀兩年k1?

請教各位mama，我仔係2010年11月出生，今年9月入讀k1,若今年做大仔再參加interview ge 話，請問係報k1還係其他？若報k1 ge話，甘樣我仔係唔係要讀兩年k1??Many thanks!!!

我個仔係10年10月，我會睇吓佢今年返K1點先決定，我曾經都好似你咁，想佢做大仔，重讀k1，但而家我會視乎情況，如果老師認為冇問題就繼續升班，到跟唔上時先重讀，你要知道冇人擔保做大仔—定係好叻，如果將來還是要重讀咪大其他人兩年？再加上如果佢好地地，做乜要佢讀多年呢？學業生涯漫漫長路呀！！

i am in a very similar situation with you.

my son is also November 2010 born...will attend K1 (be a small b) this coming August for now.
As there is nothing to lose, so this coming fall, I will "selectively" apply K1 and attend interview only several kinders (my favourite ones) and "only" if my son is lucky enough to get offers from those kinders then i will arrange my son to repeat K1, if not, i.e. no offers, then i will stick with the current school and continue K2 and K3 unless my son is not able to keep up the pace, then that's another issue (repeating K3) which will later be dealt with (hope this wont happen...)

just sharing some personal experience..
as i have no intention for my son to be a big b, therefore i will not purposely waste my time to repeat PN or K1..unless those famous kinder offers a seat, then that's another story...

another thing is that, there is no advantage being a big b in an interview as i found it as result of my son's interviews (applied as a big b), the standard tends to be higher for big b and there is just no advantage at all (just my case, maybe some others would disagree.)

same case here. My son was born in Oct 2010. He will attend K1 this year, but I will apply for K1 again. If we get offers from desirable schools we'll do K1 again in 2014; otherwise, stay in current school.

I wish to let my son be a "big boy" as I target DSS/private primary schools. From my friends' experience, "small boys" really can't perform as well as the bigger kids in general (perhaps small girls are better).

but 晞晞爸b , your "contingency plan" sounds good. My friends said people tend to let their kids repeat K2 instead of K1 cuz the curriculum in K1 is relatively easier, and less worthwhile to repeat K1. Though I know big boys don't have much advantage in kindergarten interviews (and my case is even worse as he's an October kid), I'll still try "our luck" again this year. Just hope this year my son will be willing to sit still at the interviews.

絶對同意！我個小朋友係2010年12月出生，我很多朋友勸我哋俾小朋友做大B，話interview表現會好好多，但我同家人商量完，堅定地要佢做細B。即使今年都唔會再報K1，那怕是一直心儀嘅學校。無端端為咩要讀多年啫？

大b好處只係有較大競爭力

1，冇錯，細b都會跟得上，不過假設你個小朋友的知識有正常的增長，你認為一年後既佢會唔會比現在優勝？同一個人，細時做得到的，大了一年後只會做得更好。

2，有些多人報的幼稚園自設n班，如果你咁啱target呢d學校的k1，你覺得直入k1機會有幾高？點解唔由n讀起？同一個人，冇理由收k1唔收n。

另外想補充，若果細b做到同大b一樣的要求，作為爸媽既，當然會覺得好自豪，但同一個課程係唔會因為你既出生月份而有唔同要求，至少我未遇過一d學校係會因出生月份早而扣分。即係話，你會因為細b拿80分而高興，但最高分的人仍然是拿100分那個。當然，成績好不代表什麼，太進取都未必係好事，睇你想要咩。

阿女讀兩年pn, 加3年k, 都5年.. 但真心講,
阿女好鍾意返學, 因為真正名幼happy 同 程度兼備仲要學費平...
你留佢係屋企佢仲悶...
我覺得係教育局唔正視, 既然9月開學, 收o既學生就應該由9月1 計啦..
財政年度由有4月1 開始... 真係..

多謝各位mama ge分享，我都係同幾位樓主一樣，由於阿仔係細仔，有地心儀ge學校仲未收form。再加上阿仔係慢熱型。interview時又唔合作，所以未能入到心儀ge學校，故今年再博一博，若能入到心儀ge學校，就讀多一年k1若唔得就原校升讀。但實際上我唔係好想阿仔讀多一年，因為阿仔無論係認知，表達又或者係大小肌肉都唔會比大仔差，指係想幫阿仔溫一間合適ge學校，就甘簡單但都唔得，實屬無奈。
