唔知點選擇、培正 定 SC、請大家俾D意見

小兒一共面見了七間幼稚園，幸運地全部都肯收佢、現在我們選剩兩間最心儀的，分別是培正上午和SC下午，我們覺得兩間都是非常好的學校、而且知道無論那一間小兒都會讀得愉快、但最頭痛的是選擇那一間就讀會影嚮往後讀書的路向，請大家給些意見.

You are absolutely right.

I have chosen Kentville as I want my son to study in an English Primary school such as PLKTSL or 聖瑟x. Although my husband insists to study in Pui Ching as they can directly promote to Primary School and, of course, their reputation, however, I am not that good in Chinese and may not be able to assist him once he studied in Pui Ching. Haha, and luckly, Pui Ching didn’t accept him that every moms would feel very disappointed and unhappy. But for me, I thank for Pui Ching that he didn’t accept my son and has chosen a correct way for me and my son.

I don’t know whether my comments can help you but this is what my thinking.

i also got the same problem as you ..because my daughter also accept by pui ching and st rose of lima's..and i also have to make a choose ..finally i decide to put her in pui ching now..from the first beginning i really want my daughter study in st rose..because i do think that i would prefer a english kinder more than the chinese one..and also i'm a catholic so that's why i would like to put her in this kinder..
but the reason why i change my discion now..is i heard that eventhough pui ching is mainly use in chinese..but the level of the english in that school is not that bad..and also the school encourage children to read more books..i think is good for my daughter as well. because she loves to read...and the last things that i concern is i think she can study in the school start from the kinder until the secondary school is easily to make her feeling more happy and no need to change every few years..
of course it is my own opinion.. i do hope you can choose the right thing to your kid..

有同事囡囡讀緊培正小一,佢話培正唔准學生考其他直資小學,一旦被校方發現,即時取消小一學位!而且hold住培正小一學位根本就冇可能中央派位,教署會知道你有直資學位,會發信問你係咪放棄中央派位,如想派位就要放棄直資學位,所以就算自行去民政署取form都冇用!

我個女QQ將於今年入續培正K1，但我在之前的討論見到培正中五生，於英文科取得A-C的只有十幾%。咁樣係高定係低呀？同其他名校比較又如何？謝謝！

Hi QQmother,

英文科只有十幾%credit更係低啦, 以佢係一間中上的學校黎講, 我個仔依家讀緊培正k3, 佢鐘意睇中文書多過英文書, 學校著重中文多很多, 這是小朋友在學校環境所培養成的, 所以我為有出外為他安排native speaker 教的英文班, 家中請工人都要請識講英文的, 希望佢有多d機會接觸, 至於小學, 你只當佢係普通的小學就ok, 程度都幾好, 但問題係上到中學, 英文的差距與英中始終是越拉越遠, 在最近派的校刊中顯示, 佢地2004年度會考只有16%取credit (a-c), 這個真是比較低的, 全級280人考會考, 只有45人英文可以取 A至C級, 其餘大部份都係D至E, 我覺得真是很難接受, 這個問題一直令自己未必肯定仔仔一定會讀培正中學。

I heard that most top PC studnets did not attend the HKCEE because they all went abroad during F.3 or 4.  That's why the school's results were not that ideal.  However, people will just see it as a Chinese school no matter how good its English standard is.  

It really depends on your preference.  Are you too lazy to apply the primary schools for your kid in the future?  Would you rather rely on the lucky draw system?  My kid is also accepted by the 3 kindergartens, I choose Kentville.  The choice is not that difficult as they are different kind of school.

我只是將培正會考成績的結果反映出來, 亦都表示了我的擔心, 其實我很認同培正是一所好學校, 好多方面都好好, 有咁多年歷史, 佢地既經驗肯定豐富, 只是英文方面, 事實亦都是這樣, 不過我知這幾年, 培正亦都在英文方面加強了不少, 希望之後的成績會看見越來越有進步。

至於考英小, 我都有幫仔仔試考, 結果是所有都唔收, 我亦都想試下佢既能力, 現在已知道了。當係比個機會佢自己, 以後不用後悔。
其實我已說了, 培小好好, 只是上到中學, 差距會越來越越大, 好多考得比較好的中五生, 英文方面是要家長額外跟進的, 這亦都是事實。

我個大仔讀培正讀得好開心, 雖然佢唔係好top個種, 讀書要我幫佢跟進, 但作為家長, 當然會想預早作出一些補救, 加強學校的不足。

至於我個細仔, 佢唔係 A feature, 佢只是speech delay, 最近半年已經進步不少, 我想我亦都是一個因才施教的家長, 所以縱使培正收左佢讀k1, 我最後都放棄左個學位, 揀左間更能幫到佢既學校, 而這選擇亦都是正確。

做父母的, 為子女所安排的, 當然想盡量做到最好, 而我們在這裡, 都是分享自己的經歷與所知作為參考, 各個家長都要因自己的情況分析, 不會只聽一兩意見的。
