It is hard to say is good or not.
I think it depends on not only ranking,  of course ranking high
Should be better,but the most important things should be consider
Is The supporting to him , because after half year experience
Most agent recommended same school.
The best way is talk with the headmaster directly, let him chat
For 30mins, he should know more about the student.
Not trust all ranking information.

Last time,at exhibition  I saw headmaster and ask for Gcse result of 2012"
But they show me is the percentage for increasing not exactly percentage
I do think it is litter trick on them .

A few years ago, my British boss mentioned a few good boarding schools in Ireland to me, including this one.  Recently years, quite a few HK students go to Ireland boarding schools, as reasonable price with good exams records and less Chinese.

My boss daughter was not doing very good at an IS here, she was sent (but I don't remember her school) there to do GCSE & A Level.  Her GCSE was better than they expected and huge progress.  She then acheived very good 'A' Levels results (In fact, her A levels were much better than her GCSE to me).  

I know most of the people show concern on safety, don't worry, irish are nice and my boss's daughter completed her GCSE and A level (but another Ireland boarding school) and still in good shape.

That is all I know.
