一條龍嘅迷思:好多家長以前為決擇，究竟是對是錯？阿女自行入唔到SRL，但SFA收咗，雖然SRL八成直上中學，我冇諗過回到去叩門，亦唔怕升中問題，因為人係要去面對要實同挑戰。若YW如傳聞中收d又叻又乖嘅，我會揀LS，因為真實社會係有唔乖嘅人。

我覺得朋輩的影響是好重要的，小朋友都會互相比較、互相學習。

其實不只這樣，我識啲家長都係好nice而且好投入和熱心的，互相影響下對教小朋友都有幫助的。

assume (1)the kid is smart enough to get a seat in YW, (2) he is not talented in any area you know.

then, will you prefer he studies in a school that all the kids are as smart as your kid? and you boy may become a "nobody" in teacher's eyes?
OR
your kid is among the top kids in a prestige school (at least top 20% in P1).

For me, I would prefer the second.

每次有人比併兩間學校，我最大的感覺係樓主set錯問題。可以分兩個帖問LS如何，YW如何，等用家比意見或事例，之後由自己比較，基於自己的條件同要求去選擇。利申：我係LS家長，我當然覺得LS是最好的才會比阿仔讀咁多年，從來冇諗過追求可能更好的。我對LS有這樣的親身體會：功課，阿仔現在高小了，多年來起碼80%的日子在學校完成功課，即使放長假，也只需兩個小時內完成。老師十分友善、關心學生，昨天放學在操場遇到班主任，他主動上前打招呼，大家一起傾下阿仔的有趣鎖事，將來讀書院的準備；大量發揮各樣才能的機會，運動、朗誦、音樂、學術、棋藝、美術....；同學之間相處如魚得水，我有時旁觀阿仔同佢啲同學（有乖、唔乖、叻、唔叻）的相處，真係覺得佢哋好開心；新校長認識不多，未能給與意見；再加上天主教（我成家都係天主教徒），近我屋企，LS於我們而言，簡直能一次過滿足多個願望。阿仔可以在LS得知識、關愛、友愛、發揮機會、歸屬感、愉快學習...其他LS學生的情況我不清楚，但重要嗎？我知我仔啱讀就得啦，對嗎？

I think it is not so straightforward. Imagine a smart boy learning with other less smart boys. Do you think the smart boy will get smarter? If this logic works, we need not to apply for any famous primary school.

The academic performance of any children can fluctuate over the years. Who and how can anyone of us guarantee that our boys will get the first 20% or even 80% among classmates?
