My daughter was a "small B" born in Nov 2011, and we were interviewed by York on 21-Dec-2012 for getting into their PN in 2013. Today, I received a letter from York, telling me that my daughter has been categorized as a "exceptional case" candidate, and her parent is invited to attend a briefing on 2 Feb 2013, before York offers a place to my daughter.

Have any other parents of Small B (born in Nov-2012 or Dec-2012) received the same letter as well? Does anyone has any idea about what this mean?

Sounds weird, actually my baby not a small b, but so far until today still not received letter yet

When the teacher was interviewing us the parents, she said my daughter was too young (since she was born in Nov 2011) and ask us whether we are okay if she 插班 into the PN class (of 2013/14) in Jan 2014 or Apr 2014. Of course I replied her, 'no problem!' (and I sincerely meant what I said.)

同你同一個case,不過我早你一星期聽briefing,到時聽完briefing再話你知是咩一回事

Same here, Nov small b interview on Dec 20....need to go again on Jan 26
Not sure what happen? No PN and K1 offer...

睇其他post講今次係private meeting，唔知點解又要花咁多時間再獨立見多次咁多人而又唔直接reject呢？真耐人尋味

我樂觀少少諗，叫得我地去PRIVATE MEETING，我諗唔會＝REJECT，如果唔係學校簡單比REJECT LETTER 我地就得。不過奇怪在又唔係PN WAITING，又唔係OFFER K1 啫。。。

I just called to the school and asked what is the meaning of "exceptional case" and if that means my child has got an offer. The sec replied that the principal will explain to us in the briefing. She didn't say yes or no to the question..... Really don't understand why they have to make it so mysterious....

其實如果你唔係太心儀呢間學校，又覺得麻煩，何必勉強。不去就是了。試問如果個個家長打去，啲staff又講啲唔講啲，家長們又會係EK鬧學校，點解答案唔一樣。

我覺得應該HEADＳＴＡＲＴＥＲ係一班PN　與Ｋ１之間既班，　ＦＯＲ　十月至十二月既ＢＢ，　如果學校有Ｄ大Ｂ下年一月升Ｋ１，　學校就有課室開呢個ＨＥＡＤ　ＳＴＡＲＴＥＲ班！　如果吸納左你地呢班家長，　佢就唔會有空位，　因為一月二月想收插班生，　都唔係易既。。。。。　祝大家順利！

好似今年都有年中入學的Head starter俾細B. 我自己覺得有呢類offer的細B, 係學校有信心會教得好的一group，將我地大B成年PN嘅嘢intensive半年完成, 然後可以一齊用同一level升上K1.

一般學校俾細B插班，都唔會理跟唔跟到，mix埋大B繼續上堂，頂多叫assistant多留意照顧。而呢間明顯安排有唔同。我覺得York係好目標為本嘅學校，收得你錢，就唔係求其叫你插班。

純粹個人意見。其實學校可以有唔同安排，亦基於資源問題。如果父母唔贊同學校理念，對學校冇信心，禁應該早啲改變方向。我囝囝係PN PM offer, 亦會繼續投考其他名幼，未有最後決定讀邊間。

我識既朋友裡頭有2個收到k1 offer.....1個oct bb另一個nov bb.....咁佢地又唔需要training?

搞到我都有點緊張...因為而家返緊工唔知今日有無信收呢 ><
其實諗極都唔明咩『特別情況』...
雖然未必個個都BUY~不過我就好贊同目標為本既做法...
而且YORK 雖然係INTERVIEW時都較多『花臣』,
不過無可否認佢都叫有用心..如果唔係一封REJECT信就搞掂啦...
