請教如果想在香港讀大學,
1. IB 還是DSE 好
2. IB 還是 DSE 易考D?
3. DSE試係咪不太受國際歡迎?

Your question should be whether IB or DSE suits the individual student better and can release his/her academic potentials so that s/he has a better chance to get into U in HK. There is no universal answer but depends on the student him/herself. Despite the above, IB tends to suit those students who are stronger in English which is the language used for all subjects other than language subjects while DSE requires students to attain a comparatively higher competence level in the compulsory Chinese language.

「機會視乎比率及J及NJ的比例，加上科目是否熱門，不能一切刀或籠統而言。」

但又有朋友說IB易些入大學？
「以前應該是，因為lB學生人數較少，而且多往海外升學，現在改變了。要想清楚！」

某些個別學系喜歡收IB學生多點，是碼？
「是，但要捱完果幾年，lB考得好先講。」

本地DSE生 : IB students申請本地大學學位人數又有多少呢?
囡囡其實升小一, 有IB和傳統學校offer, 又沒有想過要去外國升學, 但又喜歡那間ib學校多些, 因此, 想了解多點IB日後在香港讀大學的前景......

那想請教現在J : NJ的學位有多少? (Ratio of number of seat 12k : 3k, based on last year's data, JUPAS only has 14.5% chance, not other parents said 18%. 18% included J and NJ.)

本地DSE生 : IB students申請本地大學學位人數又有多少呢?
(~33k DSE students are eligible to apply UGC funded university programs.)

囡囡其實升小一, 有IB和傳統學校offer, 又沒有想過要去外國升學, 但又喜歡那間ib學校多些, 因此, 想了解多點IB日後在香港讀大學的前景......
(Its a bit uncertain, as more and more IB schools in HK and I can't see more seats for NJ, so the competition should be keener than JUPAS. You can imagine 12 years later. Personally, take IB based on the curriculum and graduate attributes and student profile, just focus on university admission, stick to NSS.

Moreover, most claimed IB schools only provide IBDP at senior high, not PYP and MYP. If you still feel OK about that, then, its an option.)

NSS - 新高中課程
IB has three different levels:
PYP - Primary
MYP - Junior high
IBDP - Senior high

Most local schools have IBDP only, Creative has MYP and IBDP.

For CKY, better check their website and or the official website of IBO

香港大部分開IB課程的中學只有IBDP , 少部分有MYP和IBDP.

今年睇過幾埸大學入學的資訊會.
發覺NJ生或家長不少.
因為, 這一些學生和家長, 係要避開DSE, 怕做白老鼠.
但係, 又發覺本地大學水準不低於國際, 當然不能與牛劍, 或MIT...相比.

見到好一些中學中期去了英國讀GCE AL. 想回留讀本地大學.
(本地大學質素和資助, 效益/成本/生活/學生工作前途)

但係, 原來這數量應該不少! 所以, 發覺non-jupas競爭都幾大.
叻ge,唔洗怕, 反而, 只為了避DSE, 可能現在出了問題.

現在, dse已進入第二年. 先前對dse的學術水平評估不是預期差和認受性低.
(一屆未必清楚, 如睇多兩三屆, 應該更明瞭課程如何)

就樓主問題, 如果有充分時間. 最簡單是讓小朋友讀好書.
什麼學制 ? 我想是個人喜好.

比如, 今年dse入資本地大學abt. @13-14%.
到2000年出生長(現中一), ratio: over 30%
(2000年後, 更高, 詳情, 可看EK有關學童數目資料)

由於出生率低, 入大學比率會十分高 (未計出國留學/自資學位/副學士和其他課程)
那 ib, dse.... 都好容易入大學
.
但係, 重點可能唔係入大學. 而係自己小朋友的學術質素, 專修什麼大學專業...
或者, 是想想點比小朋友係競爭壓力低的環境下, 讀得好, 讀得開心和選擇更理想的本地大學和課程.

好似, 現在, 能入醫科/法律/等最難的, 好似係2-3%. 將來可能係5-8%.能爭取成5-8%難度已經大為降低了!

二十多年未見船民了。今天，電視新聞又再見緬甸有難民坐船出海逃難。

多謝大家的回覆, 我明白了很多, 也同意什麼學制都不重要, 只要是本地生讀得叻, 就可以上大學

是指dse學術水平比預期的好. 不是百無一是.
白老鼠的情況應該可改善.

如果, 孩子還少, 可多留意dse學制發展, 同dse學生於社會上的認受性.
剛轉制, 後面會較接受.
(留意, 我是根據學生將於本地上大學)
如果是往外留學, 那其他學制也相對要留意.

DSE is supposed to be the Hong Kong imitation/version of IB as spearheaded by Dr Arthur Li (previous Secretary for ENB). Without proper training and ownership of the local teachers, it is now the spoon-feeding local version of IB with large variance in the marking of exam papers, in particular 通識科. DSE is still undergoing finetuning by HK Govt.
