Are the above 3 primary schools at the "same" or "almost the same" academic standard?

Beforehand, I thought they are!  But once I saw an unofficial ranking list of the secondary schools, I found out that St. Stephen's Girl "out-perform" both St. Paul Convent and Sacred Heart.

Or the unofficial list is not accruate at all!  I don't know?

龍嫂

聖士堤反女子---津校，初小冇考試，小朋友讀得開心，不過到了高小一樣要考試和派位。

嘉諾撒聖心---規矩和功課最多，小朋友最純品，升中也要派位。(注意:分私立部和津貼部，私立部成績較優)

銅鑼灣聖保祿---直資，不用派位直升中學，除中文科外全英語教學。(注意︰中學個別成績優異---近年"枕"住有一、兩個8A、9A，但整體成績或不及前兩者)

我見過這個list喇！如果沒有記錯，好似係一個網站的posting。那個“排名”是學生自己vote的，所以可靠性就。。。沒有客觀標準，不能盡信哦！

1. the unofficial ranking list is really unofficial and not reliable.i don't think there's an official ranking for HK schools as opposed to singapore
2. if REALLY HAVE TO COMPARE, it's actually quite hard as these 3 girls schools are considered 'prestigious schools' on HK island. Every person will differ in their ranking. From my past experiences during interschool activities and frequent contact with the students during extra-curricular activities, I would definitely rank St Stephen Girls FIRST among the 3.

I will use how many "A" in average to be obtained in HKCEE.  If so, St. Paul Co-edu is the best.  Only this school, each student obtained over 2A in average.  The rest of school obtained around 1A in average.

I heard a lot in the past & I also ranked St. Stephen Girls first among the 3.

i agree with HarryPotter, should consider how many A students obtained in average and not how many 10A students.

There are at least 3 schools whose students obtained over 2A on average in HKCEE, apart from St Paul's co-ed, the other one is Maryknoll Convent School and Queens, which also produced excellent result with over 2A per student in average, although we seldom hear 10A students from MCS because the school does not encourage students to take 10 subjects. Info is from singtao.

I also remember the other schools' result eg LSC, St Mary, which is 1.xA and 0.94 A respectively.

No info about DGS but I think it should be comparable to St Paul's co-ed, Queens and Maryknoll Convent.

I agree with kissie and harrypotter to rank St Stephen Girls FIRST among the 3.

Dear all:

嘉諾撒聖心 is the strictest of the three.  Students have to follow lots of rules.

銅鑼灣聖保祿 is I think the one that gives students the most rooms for personal development.  Their teaching attitude is closer to the ones in US/UK/Canada. (Could be because many teachers who teach there have been studying in foreign countries before)

聖士堤反女子: don't know much about it.  I have friends from this school transferring to St. Paul's Convent because they want more English courses.

瑪利曼同瑪利諾本來就是同一集團，但廿幾年前Marymount就已經「易手」，現在兩校並無關係。

Marymount會好過Canossa，但至於好過Queen's，我就有好大保留。我亦覺得Maryknoll比Marymount高些。

Let me fill in the gaps for you.  La Salle once cranked out 501A's in a single year, which is a record for any school.  I believe that was 2 or 3 years back.  That averages out to be a little bit more than 2A's per students.  That was a particularly good year.  In other years they have around 1.5As per student.

Yes, MCS doesnt encourage 10As so average A's per student should be a better indicator.
