幾時考IELTS最適合？

小朋友今年F.4，打算在香港完成中學課程及於2015年考HKDSE，放榜後如聯招派位不理想，考慮往英國升大學。

因聽聞IELTS成績是有限期的，所以請問各位有經驗家長，小朋友應該幾時報考IELTS最為適合？

CPU1995

IELTS好似是有2年限期，小兒今年在香港英國文化協會考，因冇準備過，所以考得普通，我覺得考第一次作rehearsal, 第2次考最好做2本IELTS先考，在佐敦書局買有85折。

英國普通排名的u只需IELTS6.5分，好的U一般都需7.5分以上。

小兒是中五考，恐防他GCSE. English考不到B不能入到心儀的英國boarding school,因問過學校IELTS可代替GCSE英文。

看來今年暑假(F.4升F.5)都要為她先行報考一次，成績ok的話到2015年夏天仍然有效，如不理想明年夏天仍可再考一次。
再想問問，坊間有冇一些IELTS的暑期研習班或精讀班之類的課程，可讓小朋友完成課程才考該試。

The best Us such as Cambridge, Oxford, LSE, UCL require IELTS 7.0 (with each component not less than 7.0) only.

For other colleges, unless you apply for law or medicine, they require IELTS 6.0 to 6.5 only.

The best time to take IELTS is at the end of F.5 (or Grade 11).

全套11本書IELTS書，首次應考者，是否挑戰8,9分均合??難度有幾高?又點温法?是否一定買書?另考GCSE容易嗎?thx

中五會否太遲 ?  how about 中四升中五的時候報, 十月考 ?

I suggest that the best time to take IELTS is in F.6 or the summer after F.5. The kids will have better skills in English and have time to do some revisions if their English needs further training.

Just wanna know how to count the time limit of 2 years. Limited to 2 years before application or before starts of school term actually? There are almost a year in difference.
