Almost missed out St Clare, though secondary is not band 1A (I heard from someone), its primary is quite strong and tough.

I will include this one for the top 10 girls schools.

Another one which is very popular now is St Rose of Lima, but in the olden days, back in 30 yrs ago, I don't see it as a top girls' school.

I will rank it this way:

(1) DGS (but I don't like the girls' aggressiveness and too many rich ppl)
(2) St Mary
(3) (4) MPS and MCS - hard to say which one is better
(5) (6) SSGPS and SPC
(7) (8) (9) Sacred Heart, GH and HY
(10) St Clare

My ranking is as follows:

1. DGS
2. SPC
3. Maryknoll
4. Marymount
5. St Mary
6. St Stephen, Scared Heart, St Francis, Good Hope, HY, St Clare and St Paul Sec (those schoools are the same ranking for me that depend on religion, payable or non payable school fee, english or chinese school, culture and value etc.....

But mostly ，st Mary is behind maryknoll and marymount in most ppl eye ! But I don't know the reason behind !

I can answer your question.

MCS and MPS are Eng primary schools whereas St Mary is Chi primary school. Nowadays, most parents, especially, "monster" parents like to go for Eng primary schools.

I have many GHS graduate friends and NONE of them will send or sent their daughters to GHS. They will rather choose SPC, MPS and SSGPS.

I do not think so, I know many who do send their daughters to Good Hope, and their relatives also do the same.
