應該什麼時候搬進校網區？

May I ask if we would like to move into the school zone for the government primary schools application (統一派位), may I know when should we move into the school zone?
My kid will be attending local school's P1 in the academic year September-2014.


Another thing is that we own an apartment in our preferred school zone (lease expiring in September-2014), we are very sure that we will move in there after our tenant moves out. Can we use the "future address" for the admission application (統一派位) and also provide our "current corresponding/residential  address" for correspondence prior to the date we move into the apartment within the applied school zone (which will be around October-2014 the latest)?


We can surely provide whatever required documents for the apartment ownership, and even the lease document showing the lease expiring date.

Does anyone have such experience?

I will also call the 教育服務中心 in Wanchai tomorrow but I am not sure how helpful they are and if they would just simply give me a NO answer as they don't want to deal with the somewhat complicated request!!

If I could hear from some of your advice/ experience, especially the recent experience, I would have better idea even before approaching the 教育服務中心 for further clarification. Thank you so much in advance!

The problem is that we can only end the lease from our end after Sep2014. Unless the tenant would like the end the lease earlier, which I think it's quite unlikely...

Ultimately, the reason for the school zone is to ensure kids within the school zone can attend schools within the zone and needless to travel cross towns, if we can prove that we will be moving to the school zone (to an appartment owned by us) by the time the kid goes to school, I don't see why we can't do that, but just how do w prove it? Is there any kind of forms or documenets we can fill in or submit?

I guess it's no point applying for schools in the zone the kid will not be residing by the time she goes to the school.

I guess if we don't own the appartment within that zone already , and that would surely be ridiculous to tell the EBD that we will be buying one or renting one in the zone then, if this is allowed, then this would surely be badly abused.

第一：現在多是一年生一年死約，生約只須一個月通知就可搬！
第二：將會搬去自己名的地址，自己名都可以，情形係借人地址一樣，不過都要水電煤家居電話0R厘印証明，只要你新地址現在冇被其他人報大抽奬！甘你新地址係樓花定二手先？二手如果你已買，業主係你，冇問題，就算係樓花未入伙，買賣合約亦得！
第三：如果你話將會買，完全冇合約，冇人幫到你，勸你入伙后听門！因教署都唔會承認，你仲要九月后，六月前都話博下！

The second year of the tenancy agreement is the option, the tenant can leave with 1 months notice, but we can't ask them to leave. The tenant is the expat couple without kids.
In fact we have just got an answer from edu center already.

It's a Yes and No answer strictly speaking.

I am not eligible to speak for the edu center that it's OK to do so, it's better to ask your friend to ask the edu center him/herself. He/she might have a seemingly similar but completely different situation.

In regard to this, it could lead to serious consequences if he/she takes the wrong advice from here. So make the call and make things clear.
