有陣時心理質素很重要！見過一個女仔讀龍校，小學成一考頭三名，谷是當然的，很可惜上到中學，有很多外校生，全都是其他小學名列前茅的學生，名次特秩，家長的壓力，就比下去了，讀書時很緊張，時常腦子空白。

每個小朋友都不同，怕很難有人比到你想要的答案。就算有過來人分享，亦不能代表所有／大部分人如此，這個是大學論文的研究課題。
我想你的問題應是從幼稚園開始「谷」，會否令孩子失去自動學習的動機，從自己經驗相信會，但又怕萬一kv能造到不會，若放棄kv就令孩子沒能從小領先？
無奈現在就要造取捨決定，我相信沒絕對答案，上學3個鐘，家庭教育也很重要吧，你有信心當學校與你的理念相左時，時間不夠只能二選一時，你能堅持理念嗎？

There are misunderstanding here.  KV is not just push the kids but the nuture the kids to enjoy doing homework and enjoy studying.  My kids like revision at home.  They just love studying.  This is such a good quality that one must acquire when they are still young.

Good question.

In fact, since my kids were in K1, the teacher would keep telling the kids that doing homework is their responsibility.  Besides, the teachers will do all the revisions with the kids at school, the kids are all willing to follow the teachers' advice.

My son always tell me what has been taught in the class and what has the teacher advised them.  The teachers will use little gift as encouragement for the kids to take up the responsibility.  Just like last night, I asked my son to do the Chinese revision.  My son told me that if he can bring back the revision book to school for 15 times, he will get a little present from the teacher.  So, he just loved to do it.

This is just a small part what has been taught anyway.

In any case, cooperation at home by the parents are important as well.  I seldom do the revision with my son as I think he can handle it.  This is his responsibility to do all these revision anyway.  Also, I trust what my son told me in terms of what he has to prepare for the school and how should he write a word.  As there was once I found that I was wrong while my son was right in writing a Chinese Word.

My son studies at KV, would like to share my finding in this morning. Before go to take the school bus, there are 5 mins left, my son took a story book to read. KV is a good school...my son enjoy his study very much!

其實小朋友入到一學校，就會適應，小女很喜歡Kv，但我相信當初如入Y0RK，Kim Ming , 佢都一樣好開心，其實真的不用太早替小朋友擔心，入到，米試下囉！冇謂扼殺佢地能力！

Just one more point that I chose KV. KV is strong in teaching Chinese which I think it's not easy to find a replacement. But for learning English, there are a number of centres and NET available in the market to choose. In our 3 years in KV, KV has never increased its tuition fees. The savings there are much enough to hire a very good NET.

kv is really a very good school, i am so happy that i chose the right school few yrs ago.

I think KV would give kids more discipline and grounded knowledge, though it doesn't suit all kids because of the huge workload

我教小女折開一舊舊加動作拼音！例如：ruler , 我會折開ru/ l/ er ! Rubber 折為ru/ bb / er ! Er 我會俾個名佢，如（你個好朋友）教她時就是ru 孖B加最後朋友甘提佢！甘以後一見er 就提佢你個好朋友！佢自己會當左一個故事，形象化就識串！唔知我甘講難唔難明！有phonic 㡳更加好！所以我成日話自己太遅俾佢phonic !

讀KV其中一個神奇嘅地方, 喺你唔需要煩惱學校教過嘅字(不論中文或英文)，佢學完返到屋企就會識寫或識串, 我唸其它幼稚園很難做到掛!

"若放棄kv就令孩子沒能從小領先？ " why you need to lead (in your definition) at the very beginning? Many of us in our age or many of my mentees (post 90s, EAS students) doing well in high school and uniy were very "hea" in primary schools. :)

Yes.身邊有不少kv&維多利亞的成功個案，但也有失敗個案，所以不可以一概而論。不過有一樣係肯定既，就係kv既父母應在子女學習上比較有鬥心，對學習有要求，你見這個討論中有很多kv家長護航就知（絕無貶意）。維記的家長，或者部分經濟狀況較佳，有d或會直上小學，行IB條路或大個出國讀書，未必會把成績、得失放在第一位。我識得有維記家長抽到st.mary,竟然give up去讀二線私小，因為想fit番個女發展，呢d case應該唔會在kv發生吧！
反而樓主應該諗下你會係邊類家長重要d!

K2時家長日見過KV班主任, 她對小兒品學非常滿意.

她說最大原因是小兒可以接受到KV既教學模式.

所以好與不好要看小朋友{:1_1:}
