今年提名權得150個，提名權係指小朋友一定有機會interview, 仲要係首輪面試個班，首先比5萬訂先，1）如果學校收，就要比埋嗰45萬，2）如果學校收,但你決定唔讀，5萬就冇得退比你，3）學校唔收，5萬會退返比你。所以有家長如付擔得到又好想小朋友入英基，咪比提名權。

No, the $500K is a special nomination category. There are only 150 places offered for ALL ESF schools so each school will only have a dozen or less nomination spots. These places replace the previous "corporate surety places".

For the majority of ESF school places, you still apply the same way as before.  If entering Year 1 and Year 7, there is an extra $25K you have to pay as. Refundable levy (refunded on graduation)

我昨天剛收到信去"play visit", 希望有機會啦!

但朋友們話ESF唔教中文writing, 所以要補習. 我個人又好鍾意ESF, 加上有幾間小學可以考(應該都好難考), 感覺都唔錯.

ESF的中文程度很難說，估計學生之間差異很大，屋企補吳補底亦係一個重要因素。
如果中文係考慮，又吳介意比提名權，中一先考都係一個選擇。

RC系新校，成績吳及其他ESF學校，不過到我小朋友讀中學時，可能又另一番光景。

讀 Local school搞好中文底子，中學用提名權入ESF學校，都系一條路。如果無更好選擇，起碼我會考慮。

If the ESF's school fee is comparable to other IS, will you still choose ESF?   Why?

No argue that the IB result of ESF is doing well in last few years and most of the ESF students sitting for IBDP have been with ESF since primary (bearing in mind ESF is not selective in primary admission ), whereas for other IS with good or better results, it may not be the case.  Of course other than exam result, parents have different expectation.

你都識話你朋友個仔讀中學時可能又另一番光景，咁到你個仔到中學的年紀，仲有無提名權都未知啦....就算有，到時係幾多錢，遊戲規則有無變都係未知之數！

就算加價，但都幫你省回小學讀IS的學費，又打好中文底子，都算係一條路。

Do you know what you need to do in LS for 6 years to ensure your children will have adequate English to pass the ESF entrance exam?

我沒有嘈，沒有不滿，亦無建議。我只是問家長知不知道如何在 LS 六年小學，保持可以進好 IS 的英語水平。

You only need to pay $500,000 if you want to jump the queue.

I see… hope 2 years later is still $500k then!
