Just Received call from DGS yesterday for second interview

因有家長話, 上年囡囡 in 完後 4-5 天收到 offer.

Would the mentioned girls seated in the interview on last day, last year ? Quoted in another topics of EK related to DGS 2nd interview, the last date of interview is 17/12 (Of course, the actual date may be later than that), therefore the result should not be released such early. According to DGSs schedule, the result should be released at the end of January.

Checked with my friend whose daugther is existing Secondary 6 student of DGS, the confirmation was received before Christmas at that year. But last year's confirmation was issued in March. Likely, DGS's schedule cannot be  predicted easily, just calm down !!

請問有冇家長係1st in之後收到reject letter架？
我咩信都冇再收到...上星期打去問校務署既人話會揾同事回覆但等左幾日都冇人覆，最後星期四再打去就話會再寄信...問其實可唔可以話我地知究竟有冇second in又死都唔答...而家都唔知係寄失信定係點，好迷惘，有冇家長同我一樣情況？

但阿女學校8個人去考，只有佢同另一同學冇2nd in，但偏偏冇2nd in既2個係今次佈分試考全級前三名的，反而廿幾既都有得2nd in，有點奇怪...當然我地都明白考DGS成績不代表一切

今次呈分試的成績應該不在DGS的評核範圍。上次1st in 的時候好多學校未考完呈分試。

阿女五年級下學期呈分試考全級第二，另一個冇2nd in既同學上次失手考十幾...但阿女由四年級下學期到而家都keep到全級頭五名（而且係港島區頗有名的私小）加上有少少學界獎項，真係冇諗過冇2nd in...
其實當初考都係想運動方面可以多點支援，阿女去完skill test好鐘意，話田徑個場好好，所以而家佢好失望，成日會諗究竟自己有咩做得唔好，有咩比唔上考廿幾既同學...

我地都冇報其他直資，已打算直升一條龍中學，所以升中之旅已經告一段落，各位有其他學校面試既同學仔加油啦~

要讓小朋友知道除了女拔，還有很多好的學校。唔可以講冇2nd in的同學就比有得in的同學差。因為面試有太多不可控制的因素。大家一起加油！

我地已經有不斷安慰佢，但佢由五年級開始就一直想讀DGS，要平復都需要一些時間~
其實我地有一直同佢講入唔到DGS唔代表一切，因為大女當年亦係讀普通band 1，一樣入到三大，一樣大學畢業，可能有個幾叻既家姐令細妹而家有d壓力...

理解你的心情，因我也在考慮如果囡囡被reject,我們怎樣面對，相信明確的答案沒有人給得到。
可能DGS看重1st in 時的學科測試更甚於小學成績。亦可能我們已經考到99分之高分，但無法保證別人考不到一百分。入圍DGS interview的相信都是各有所長的優秀學生，如此的競爭中不確定因素實在太多，或者只可將成功當做幸運，將不成功當做自然。期望突然落空的心情一定會需要一段時間來平復，也相信一定會平復，因為我們始終要面對的是未來。大家努力。

若妳囡囡真的喜歡DGS, 可以之後再考插班, 年年都會有人走(例如海外升學), 所以年年都會有新同學加入, 加油!
