I got the offer letter for nursery class (2-year old ) at whampao campus today. The letter dated 3 dec and deadline for paying deposit is $13,600. I will go for it. I submit application in mid of August 2012.

Typo. Deadline is 13 dec. I am not their playgroup student. My girl is small b, born in oct 2011.

Congrats!!  Thanks for sharing the good news. We submitted our application to Whampoa campus in early Sep.  Hopefully we will receive our offer soon.  Keeping fingers crossed.  Anyway what is your IS plan after Anfield?

Try all the IS avaliable as every single spot is hard to get. Anfield primary will also be our target.

I like the style of Anfield but want my child to attend local school. I target DSS/private primary schools.  If I let him go to Anfield kg and meanwhile have Chinese classes outside, will he be able to compete for DSS/private primary schools? Can any parent share his/her views?  Many thanks.

Nope I don't think so as there is a huge gap in between .

I think nursery has more classes to offer than pre-k.

Could you please elaborate more about the gaps? As a first-time mom I want to do more research before making a decision for my child.

Ya, there are only 20 spots for pre-k and at least 50 spots for nursery.  But there might be more applications for nursery since they are taking in kids born in all months, instead of specific months for pre-k.
