How do you deal with Native English Teachers (NET) whose grammar is so bad that even you notice that it is wrong? One who cannot even use "your" and "you're" or "there", "their" and "they're" correctly?

別的不要說。但我知道有個外籍人話識教grammar, 有TOEFL qualifications. However, that person can misuse "your" and "you're" in writing. 可能我比較fussy D. 聼另外個外籍老師話有位家長講， 更離譜都有。教"This is me mother"添

請問有無聼過鄉音比較重的外籍老師? 我都好怕明年我女入到的幼稚園NET有鄉音。

文法錯當然唔可以接受啦，鄉音其實唔緊要，最緊要教嘅時候係正音。因為英國人，美國人，澳洲人講英文都有好大差異。連正統倫敦口音都被邊緣化啦。英文個英字，都被稱為美語了。

This can only mean that English is not their true native/mother tongue.   I have seen schools hire 'gwai los' to teach English and present them as NET.  But as soon as they speak, you will know English is not their mother tongue.  They may be a 'gwai lo' but perhaps from Spain or France or other countries.

Yes, I know of a friend who used to run a tuition centre in Singapore, He said that the Mainland Chinese parents wants to see a 外籍人face teaching English. They don't ask too much about the background. However, when an Asian face is there, they want to check and check the background.

NET = native English teacher
If you are born in a English speaking country, you are a native speaker.
A native English speaker doesn't = qualified teacher

其實外國人唔代表gramma一定啱，有好多外國小朋友好大個都唔識寫作，正如我係中國人都冇文法啦！係D家長成日要金頭髮老師！

絕對同意。唔同係香港出世就可以教中文。要有教學diploma 或 degree 先得。否則我地都係NCT。
