NIS or JIS ??

We live in Shatin area and  we are going to apply NIS ,JIS and ESF next year.
As we know the chance to get into ESF is less than 10%, so NIS and JIS will be my remaining choices.

JIS is it very difficult to get in too?

How old is your kid? If under 4 you better send your kid to reception class (JIS)

She is below 4 and studying at ESF K1 now

If you want your kid to study in JIS, you can apply JIS's reception class (=K2)

If she is studying in ESF kindergarten now, why do you think her chances of progressing to ESF primary school is less than 10%? From what I have gathered from various sources, 80-90% of ESF kindergarten children do go on to ESF primary schools (inclusive of RC and DC).

Cat 2 students.....is the opposite way....10% to 20%

I think 80-90% is the overall figure, remember RC and DC don't prioritize applicants by Cat 1 & 2.

So if you include RC and DC in your list of ESF primary schools, the chance is pretty good.

My daughter studied K1 in ESF, and Reception in JIS till now!
