"色盲和色弱都是先天性辨色能力異常所致。患者可分為全色盲、部分色盲、全色弱或部分色弱四種。其中全色盲者非常少見；部分色盲又可分為紅色盲、綠色盲、青黃色盲；色弱者也有紅綠色弱、青黃色弱之分。視覺基因位於和性別有關的Ｘ染色體上，而且是隱性遺傳。如果父親正常，但母親是帶因者，則生下的孩子中，只有男孩會異常。若父正常、母色盲或色弱，則生下的男孩會遺傳到色盲、色弱，女孩則不發病，但成為帶因者。而如果父親是色盲或色弱，而母親是帶因者，則生下的子女中，男生有一半可能是色盲或色弱，女性則非色盲即色弱，或成為帶因者。最嚴重的是，雙方若皆為色盲或色弱者，則所生子女，將無一倖免。"

Dear Nail,

Thanks for your information. Do you know what are the limitations for people with colour-blindness in finding a career? I know that "pilot" is one of them.

I think it depends on the severity of the colour-blindness.  I have two friends who have mild colour blindness that both of them are able to be a bus driver or van driver.  I know that they maybe fail to be electrical or electronic engineer because they have to face lots of colourful wires or cables in that career.
