Yes, agree.  Normally parents will move near to the desired school, or if not possible, find a school closer to your home.

I know a family with kids going from N.T. to a very famous HK Island school everyday, and ultimately after a year, they decide to switch back to a regional school near their home.  It is really too hard for the kids and the parents to travel so far everyday.

仲有, 全香港十八區, 真的只係得一間好學校! 試下多些了解自己區內的學校!

要搭校巴的其實分別不大。在我家搭的士到學校，40元有找。校巴卻要一小時。住元朗的，都是多半小時而已。

日日蔣軍澳線大把人返 st。paul convent架，幼稚園都大把窩！

自己帶當然快D喇！但之後返唔返屋企好？定係街度等到放學？如果返左屋企再出，最多坐個零鐘(幼稚園返3個鐘計)，一來一回4次車錢咪好金？
唉...想子女好便要付出代價喇！

I agree that school bus time may not be too much from Kln to HK side, but the problem normally is there is no school bus service from Kln to HK side, so parents have to arrange someone to take the kids to HK side.  I think this is more feasible when the kids grow up and join secondary, then they can go to school by MTR or bus themselves.
