i think we missed the open day last week, anyway, it's very good to hear that WKF not only target HK unversity, but also target those famous unversties around the world. My concern actually is WKF only have DSE public exam on the Grade 12, that seems not enough to target the oversea good university, unless it become a IB school ( i heard that they planning to be a IB world on the very first beginning).So, WKF did the prinicipal mentioned any future curriculum planning?

Same as you, i wanna to know more after we got the 2013 G1 offer.thanks..

The DSE exam not only the exam for WKF students, all their students need to attend IELTS and IGCSE before DSE !
The principle said that the IGCSE and IELTS is the main path to let their student enter to famous foreign universities. Also, the principle clearly mentioned that IB wouldn’t appear at WKF as their existing course structure is perfectly suit for 334 and IGCSE !

For my opinion, i like it is mainly because WKF's role is standing between on IB and traditional school.

30 child in the class, but split into 20-24 (7 classes) for Eng, Chi & Maths depends on teh subject focus.

so, they have the IGCSE exam on G10? that's good to hear that....
However, i am a bit disappointed that they give up to be a IBDP school. since for my understanding, the local school like SPCC, DB or Logos, they will split the class on the last two years of Seconday, some of student will go DSE and the others go IBDP.

Yes , for my understanding , they already give up IBDP and forcus on 334 but fine tune for suit IGCSE.

我小朋友並不是特別叻, 我地並沒有一線的offer, 我們只是比較勤力, 我in左11間小學, 有offer的是: St Louis, 培僑, St Francis, 港同, St Joseph, 元朗一直資(我唔係好記得果名怕寫錯), 俾個tips大家, 就算收到offer都唔好俾小朋友知,  我小朋友一知到有offer, 之後所有去in的小學, 無一間有2nd in.

其實我係有offer後先去study邊間好, 之前我對d小學都係知d唔知d的, 我的決定原因如下:

1) wkf小學部的簡介會, 小學生的(中英)語文表達, 我覺得係我有offer入面最好的, 學生好乖
2) wkf中學部的簡介會, 中學生的(中英)語文表達, 一流. (才藝表現都非常好,不過對我來講唔重要), 中學生都好乖
3) 我覺得中學部校長, 佢一定係一個好好的經營者 (從經濟效益及商業角度).   把中學部做好, 做出成績, 係同佢個人利益一致的, 我聽過佢演說, 同佢傾過一會兒, 係internet 搵過下佢d果人資料, 我相佢一定可以做到(希望唔好換校長)
4) 總校長係另方面的好, 佢應該係對教育好有熱誠,好鍾意小朋友的, 佢日日早上都係學校門口接我地d小朋友的.  佢d教育背境重勁, 以前係international school 校長來的, 我相信佢會對英語環境的堅持
5) 辦學團體: 真正由大學辦學 (港同並不是港大辦的), 交流活動的層次是對外國大學的. (到a-school website 有record)
6)辦學團體有錢有resources
7) 學校有為小朋友準備不少國際性的考試

8) 身邊有朋友係wkf離職中學老師, 唔做原因係學校對佢要求高, 有壓力, 聽佢口氣, wkf人工係高過傳統學校d............我覺得這樣才有機會有高質素老師.
9) 去年有朋友的鄰居的小朋友因wkf課程較深要轉到啟x小學.........(學習深度有保證了)
10) 特意找來3個wkf (應該今年係G2G3)小朋友(朋友親戚d小朋友)來研究下, ok 醒目, 開朗, 英文talk得下.
11)睇過G1G2當年D教材, 幾深, OK
12) 真正英文小學
13) 個人認為小學就谷(學習唔代表一定要谷)會唔會唔係咁理智......G8以上先谷會唔會多D人生樂趣 (呢果係我好個人觀點, 大家唔同)
14) 我覺得呢類型教法D學校係先可以train到佢地d leadership and much presentable.  I would like to train up my son to be a leader rather than a professional worker.(都係好個人觀點)

I am sorry that I won't talk any about the other schools as it is not so fair only by my subjective thinking/feeling.

唔知佢地中學部第一年DSE成績係點呢? 讀得WKF都係BUY佢一條龍唔使煩, 但如果中學水平唔好又會擔心入錯, 有冇人可以報料呀? THX~

Wkf每日的工課量是怎樣的，有冇默書架，Wkf都收了我的小朋友，好想了解清楚學生每天上課程況，畢竟一讀12年，有冇家長可以提供呀，tkanks

小一有默書，但唔多。現階段比較著重他們能自己讀書，及寫出他們想表達甚麼。譬如英文寫文章，只要寫出的文字發音啱(phonetically correct)，就算串錯亦無問題。上堂亦唔係主要教生字及要小朋友死背，是希望小朋友自己及同學一起讀文章，並找出文章中的 key words同中心思想，明白之後便加以運用。雖少默書，但並不代表hea。譬如英文現在學寫rhyme，assessment希望小朋友45分鐘內寫兩版紙。

希望以上資料可幫你了解他們的要求。

多謝你的詳細資料，另外想問下一般傳統學校一上到小二好多小朋友都要去補習社，本人就好怕小朋友放學後還要去補習社做工課，溫書，咁WKF的小朋友需唔需要這樣呀Thanks

No, they only need about 30-45mins to have homework done independently.  Only for those Science or Liberal Art projects, Parents might need to help out and work together.

Only 2 exam a year, assessment commence sometimes to see where the children's standard is with no marking but grading rubics telling where the children's strength and weakness.  What need to impriove.

Dictation on Chinese and English only once a month.

However, expect Children to read and be creative on writing techniques.

1. 有人話WKF 小朋友做PROJECT 要家長參與同幫手, 幫手是預左, 但要幫到邊一程度?家定係學校係唔想家長參與比小朋友自己發揮呢?
