簡單啲講，中學嚴棄小學，要脫離關係！話就話提升！連第一輪自行都一個都唔比小學部就明啦！
聖心書院第一輪全收自己人（聖小）！

我不太認識中學，亦是純粹個人推斷！中學突然轉直資，都冇咨詢小學當期時嘅家長，及聽取各方意見！
令到很多家長醋手不及！可能部分一早收到風！

I don't have much ideas about secondary gov't allocation.  But it seems that even the Secondary takes students from other schools in 自行, but then most students from the Primary still got promoted to the Secondary ! Have you figured out how?

以st paul sec 為例：
36p x 5classes =180seats
-5% repeat = 10
-30% 1st round 自行 = 54
- 85% 2nd round 大抽獎 = 99 (直屬位）
- 17 seats 非保留位

小學 4classes x 32=128p
99/128 = 77.34%

如中學一個都唔收小學，咁即係得99個位保證！基本band 1生喺入硬， band 2 生就要視乎有幾多，如多過剩餘保留位就要抽，話明抽即喺有人歡笑有人愁！奌解呢？！就喺好彩band 2c 抽入； band 2a 抽唔入！
如在第一輪中學部收多小小，咁喺咪皆大歡喜囉！

99 (直屬位）已經多過好多其他直屬中學
有 band1 學生升去其他學校
咁升唔返隔離其實真係好少數

Hope you can give me more info.  So these 99 (直屬位）are in fact given out in 2nd round 大抽獎 right?  As I'm not familiar with secondary gov't allocation. Can you tell me whether there're students from other schools join this 2nd round lucky?  Or are these 直屬位 solely reserved for SPPCS?  If this is so, then therefore students from SPPCS could be excluded from first phase discretionary placing?

經扣除重讀生及自行分配學位後，在統一派位階段，直屬中學可為其直屬小學保留最多餘額85%的學位，而聯繫中學可為其聯繫小學保留最多餘額25%的學位。

yes, 85% which = 99 seats are reserved exclusively for sppcs students during the 2nd round lucky draw stage
I first heard about this news that spss did not consider sppcs students in the discretionary stage were from a sppcs teacher 5 years ago when my girl was at p4
then this was further confirmed by parents who attended the S1 briefing from the principal of spss 2 years later
however, some parents and sppcs teachers insisted that spss in fact would take sppcs top students in the discretionary stage
whether this is true or not I'm afraid nobody knows except spss
there are over 100 sppcs students promoted to spss each year - well, to me, only this matters

何解會認為SPSS嫌棄自己的直屬小學生呢？

每年 over 80% 同學升過隔離，有幾多間直屬中學會收如此高%？

還有些自願轉會的同學(Co-ed、英華、BPS)，計吓計吓，只有bottom 10%才碌唔入SPSS。

你囡囡幾年級？有去小五小六的家長會嗎？正副校長的 message 才 official 吧。

當日，我深深感到學校希望班小姐升過隔離的。
