oh! Thanks for your sharing. How about ISF, CKY, Victoria, Logos Academy? ISF, ...
1. ISF-There are quite a number of children from Rightmind got admitted by ISF in the previous years, about 12-15 per year. ISF is using their unique curriculum in primary years and proceed to IB MYP and DP in secondary. One of the strengths of the school is the language policy, they put much focus on Chinese (Mandarin) in early years, up to 70% starting from G1, then the proportion decrease year by year until about 10-20% Chinese in G12. As ISF is being more popular, this year, they have received 1,000 applications for Preparatory Year (300 sibling applications received) for 150 spots, you can foresee the competition will be keen too in the next few years (More information available: http://hongkong.geoschools.com/forum/13/thread4710.html). If you aim at ISF, you may consider joining their Preparatory class (equivalent to K3), so that a spot in G1 is guaranteed for your son, otherwise it's difficult to get a G1 place. ISF have run IB DP 2-3 years ago, compare with other IS, it's a bit new to it, but I knew some G12 in ISF got conditional offers from prestigious US colleges, there was a thread at the international school forum here, you may take a look of it too.
2. Victoria Shanghai Academy
It is a well established school with full IB Program offered, I believe VSA is bilingual, in fact for those VSA Y1 students who attend Victoria kindergarten, they should have a strong foundation on Chinese, and quite a number of them speak fluent English, Cantonese and Mandarin. They have been experienced in using IB, and last year there were 2 students from VSA got 45/45 in IB DP. For Y1, 138 places are offered to Victoria kindergarten students, only 30 offered to other applicants.
3. Logos Academy
It seemed the school is also new to IB, and it's a DSS school but not private independent school like ISF and VSA. That means Logos is also under EDB, it restrict the proportion of students taking IB, for example at most only half of the S6 students could take IB, or some DSS IB school will pick those intelligent students to take IB, the others will take DSE. Most likely the primary and secondary section of Logos will be following the local curriculum, except for those students who take IB in S5-S6. One of the most significant difference between Logos and ISF/VSA is that Logos is a DSS school, while the others are private independent schools, and all ISF and VSA students take IB Dp while only some students in Logos will take IB DP in senior years.
By the way, Canadian International School is also running full IB with good reputation, you may also consider, but the competition is keen too, they received 560 applications for 40 spots for Pre-Reception and 550 applications for 80 spots for Reception.
