Before 1980 (or 1981? Any Maryknollers here?) Marymount Secondary School was called Maryknoll Sisters' School.  The initials "MSS" remain the same.  The school uniform (of the old and present MSS)remained the same.  The old MSS and MCS used to be operated by the same operating body.  There was then a change in the operating body of the two schools: hence the change in name.  For details, I think Maryknollers here can help.

Yes, around 81 or 82, Maryknoll at Happy Valley changes its name as Marymount. So I haven't choose this secondary school as my choice.

Maryknoll Sisters' School (HK side) was started by Maryknoll Sisters from the USA some 7x years ago.  Then they were taken over by the Columbun Sisters from Ireland.  In 1983, these Irish Sisters changed the name of both primary and secondary schools to Marymount Primary School (MPS) and Marymount Secondary School (MSS).   Uniforms, religion, and other stuff have not changed much except that the Irish sisters were more strict than the USA sisters.  The teachers did not change, only the sisters did.
