Which is the best, famous, good International School in HK?

I know nothing about the international schools in HK, except some names like ESF, YC..Like ESF, there are so many branches, are they the same or which is better?
Plz comment, thanks for your help.

If you know nothing about international school, why do you want to put your kid in  IS?  Famous? Personally I don't think yc is a IS.  Go to their website you will find more info.

As you can see my baby's pic, she is only 5 months old now.I am a new mom, that's y I know nothing about IS.
That's y I m doing research studying with u all experience moms.
I am American, most likely my baby will be studying in IS, since she will go back to the states to study later.
I want to target a school that I like then start fr PG to PN to K1 to the IS I like.
Cos she was born in the yr of Dragon, I need to be prepared.

Wow! So complicated, don't understand!Me myself studied in the states too... I m jus trying to get some opinion fr expert parents here.
IS could have different standards & popularity too, I only heard about ESF & YC, that's y I want to know more.

Also, I don't think there is anything wrong to rate a school.Like in the states, or overseas, we do have ranking of different universities.

As you said you know nothing about the international schools in HK, why don't you take a look at their websites? The list can be found online too.

If you have already had an idea of what internationals schools in HK are, you wouldn't have raised the question like "which one is good?", "which one is better for my kid?"

If your kid wants to study in US later (whether from middle school or high school), then you may consider IS taking an US curriculum. There are only 3 IS in Hong Kong which use the US education curriculum, namely HKIS, ICS and American International only.

Which one is better depends on your need. It is difficult to rank them. If you want a strong Chinese program, HKIS and ICS is better. If you can afford to pay about $200,000 per year, HKIS may give you an education comparable to your school fee. If your budget is around $120,000 per annum, ICS and American International are the only option.

If you are a Christian, ICS is a good choice.

All depends what you need.

Since your kid will return to US for education, you need not consider the schools providing the IB program because they only provide the education in middle or high school only.

It is true that there are only three schools providing U.S. curriculum. But if you don't mind Canadian curriculum, you may consider Christian Alliance International School (Kowloon). True... Really can't make a comment on an open-ended question.  I was an ESF mom and an ESF alumni.  I could not take the HK work environment and the ever changing policy and education system anymore, so we chose to relocate back to the US earlier this year.

The key is to find a school that suits your need.  There is no such thing as the best international school in HK, just one that suits your need and one that you can get into.  If you don't have any priorities and are not in cat 1, forget about ESF is my advice.

I did research their websites, but I want to know more fr parents opinion.
I am not sure when to send my girl back to the states yet,
but from your opinion may need to be as early ad possible then.

Why HKIS is so expensive? Does it worth? Or just be so of the big name? I don't mind to pay that if it's good though.
