Hi Philip, it was great to know that your family is safe and back to Hong Kong.

Although I was in Seoul during x'mas, I knew the Asian tsunami on Dec 26 around 6:00 p.m. HK time, because my brother-in-law's family was in Phuket since Dec 25, my mother-in-law was so scared, luckily, my brother-in-law and his family was back to HK last night.

"有金錢也起不到任何作用了"的情况很少發生，就以國共內戰時期来說，有錢的生活仍是較好。金錢從何而来，靠平時之積聚而来。

現時，短視和寄生於"弱勢"社群的政客充斥立法會。希望政府吸取天災無常之教訓，能審慎理財，不要受張文光之流的政客所迫。花錢取悅一些政客很容易，積聚財富才困難。

Just back from Thailand but luckily my family was in Bangkok and Pattaya when the disaster happened.  For those who are not involved/ escaped from the disaster, we should take this opportunity to educate our children to show our concern and offer help to the needy.  As a mental run exercise, I also tell him the news of how some of them keep their life, managing crisis is often the part that I forget to tell the young.

And, best wishes to those who still cannot be contacted.
