Your girl is so smart that she gets both good offers. That will be a tough decision to give up either one.

May I know whether DGJS seat is released or not? I have been sending 5 letters asking for a vacancy. Hope that we have the luck.

I believe very few parents will reject a P.1 place at DGJS.  It is a 12-year study plan that will probably affect the rest of your daughter's life.  I think parents are in a much better position to have a more thoughtful consideration before making such a hard decision.

Dgjs- multifactorial. How much time, money and effort u put in is what u will get back. There is no guarantine that it is 100% entrance to secondary,communicated by Stella in the nov/Dec 2011 secondary admission talk in the school hall last year. ECAs  and possibly some awards are a must. Dgjs girls were interviewed and unsuitable ones will be rejected to make way for top students of other schools, but you can begged the school if you wanted to, it happened to some whom i know and  these are not likely to secure a place for science stream. If not they exit dgjs at pri 5/6 to other schools inc international schools...

Parents who attended the DGS secondary admission talk can confirm that the above information is incorrect and misleading. All DGJS girls can enter DGS. Mrs Lau will NOT reject them to make way for other students. I've attended the secondary admission talks in Dec 2011.

If you disagree with my observation, then prove me wrong, like not enlisting your child in any eca/sports/music and obtain 1 or 2 lousy grade, then perhaps you can proceed to Dgs?  Oops,  Is your child in pri 5/6 already?..

As stated in the PSP, DGS is the "Through-train Secondary School" of DGJS. Do you know what does it mean?

By the way, is your daughter studying in DGJS or Good Hope?

If the kids not like or willing to study in this school, I don't think she could enough 12yrs school life! My daughter clearly to advised me that she don't like DGJS after 2nd interview.
Beside, MCS also is a very good school on HK, right?

有沒有「女兒小學在MCS，因為成績好（不是靠運動、音樂、、）在中學去了DGS」的家長可分享她在兩所學校的得著有何不同？

我識家姐係MCS，個妹係DGS，好明顯其實家姐係MCS，妺妺一定入到MCS ，不過妺妺考到DGS，就唔讀令願交學費，仲唔係DGS好D

I think DGS English standard is better. Since they are the 'selected' group, they must have a certain level of english standard + parents are very supportive too.

Standard of MCS is varies.   But smart student is MCS could easily become top if the class. But in DGS it is hard
